This role will focus heavily on Google Ads, local SEO, conversion tracking, attribution, and lead quality, while working closely with project managers, developers, and other marketing team members to ensure campaigns are properly tracked, optimized, and aligned with client goals.
The ideal candidate is analytical, technically comfortable, proactive, and able to manage multiple accounts while identifying opportunities to improve campaign performance and lead quality.
Key Responsibilities
Google Ads & Paid Media
• Manage and optimize Google Ads campaigns for local service-based businesses.
• Audit existing paid search campaigns and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Conduct keyword research based on services, locations, customer intent, and competitors.
• Build and manage Search and Performance Max campaigns.
• Develop and test different keyword match types, ad variations, audiences, and campaign strategies.
• Continuously optimize keywords, negative keywords, bids, budgets, targeting, and ad performance.
• Monitor campaign performance and identify opportunities to improve lead volume and quality.
• Manage Meta Ads campaigns when needed.
Conversion Tracking & Attribution
• Verify access and connectivity between advertising, analytics, call tracking, and website platforms.
• Set up and maintain conversion tracking through Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics.
• Work with developers when tracking codes, tags, forms, or website elements need to be implemented or corrected.
• Troubleshoot tracking issues and identify discrepancies between advertising platforms and lead-tracking systems.
• Monitor lead quality and conversion activity regularly.
• Identify tracking or attribution problems early and communicate them before they impact reporting or campaign decisions.
Local SEO
• Conduct keyword research focused on local search intent and service-based businesses.
• Provide recommendations for on-page SEO improvements.
• Support the optimization and management of Google Business Profiles.
• Assist with GBP updates, services, posts, photos, and other local search activities.
• Monitor local search visibility and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Collaborate with content and SEO team members on keyword targeting, search intent, and website content.
• Support citation and directory management as needed.
Conversion Rate Optimization
• Review landing pages, forms, and other conversion points to identify potential improvements.
• Ensure messaging between advertisements and landing pages is consistent.
• Identify opportunities to improve conversion rates and lead to quality.
• Collaborate with web developers to implement approved CRO recommendations.
• You will not be responsible for web development, but you should be comfortable working with websites and communicating technical requirements to developers.
Reporting & Performance Analysis
• Analyze PPC, SEO, conversion, and attribution data across multiple client accounts.
• Prepare accurate performance data for internal reporting.
• Translate marketing data into clear, actionable insights and recommendations.
• Highlight account issues, performance changes, opportunities, and recommended next steps.
• Work closely with project managers to ensure account performance information is accurate and communicated on schedule.
• Maintain organized records of campaign changes, account activity, and important communications.
Quality Assurance
• Review campaign and track data for accuracy.
• Monitor accounts for significant changes or performance issues.
• Identify low conversion rates, poor lead quality, tracking errors, budget concerns, and other potential issues.
• Proactively communicate concerns and recommended solutions to the appropriate team members.
• Help maintain consistent processes and documentation across accounts.
Requirements
Required
• Proven experience managing Google Ads for local service-based businesses.
• Agency experience managing multiple client accounts simultaneously.
• Strong understanding of Google Search Ads and Performance Max.
• Hands-on experience with keyword research, negative keywords, campaign optimization, and budget management.
• Experience with conversion tracking and attribution systems.
• Working knowledge of Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics.

• Strong local SEO and keyword research experience.
• Understanding conversion rate optimization principles.
• Ability to analyze marketing data and turn it into practical recommendations.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
• Highly organized and detail oriented.
• Proactive communicator who can work independently without constant supervision.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced agency environment with multiple priorities and deadlines.
Preferred, But Not Required
• Experience with Meta Ads or other paid advertising platforms.
• Experience working with call-tracking or lead-attribution platforms.
• Experience with fitness, wellness, home services, healthcare, or other local service industries.
• Experience managing Google Business Profiles.
• Experience with SEO platforms and local search tracking tools.
• Basic understanding of landing page optimization and lead-generation funnels.
• Interest or experience in the health and fitness industry.
What We're Looking For
We are looking for someone who doesn't simply manage campaigns based on a checklist.
The right person will be able to look at an account, understand where leads are coming from, whether those leads are actually valuable, what is affecting conversion performance, and what should be tested or changed next.
You should be comfortable asking questions, identifying problems before they become larger issues, and communicating recommendations clearly to both marketing and technical team members.
You should also be comfortable working in an environment where processes are continually being improved and where team members are expected to contribute ideas rather than simply follow instructions.
