Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized HR Generalist to support day-to-day human resources operations and ensure employee information, documentation, certifications, and HR-related tasks are kept accurate and up to date.
The HR Generalist will be responsible for monitoring employee tracking systems, following up on outstanding requirements, maintaining employee records, assisting with HR documentation, and responding to employee and management HR-related matters. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, responsive, and comfortable managing multiple HR tasks and deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
• Monitor employee tracking systems and regularly review records for outstanding or incomplete items.
• Follow up with employees and relevant managers regarding pending HR requirements, documentation, and action items.
• Monitor and track required employee certifications, including ServSafe, and ensure certifications remain current.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of employee certifications, expiration dates, and compliance requirements.
• Assist with employee documentation, onboarding paperwork, forms, and other general HR administrative tasks.
• Maintain organized and accurate employee files and HR records.
• Respond to employee and management inquiries regarding HR-related matters and ensure appropriate follow-up.
• Track open HR issues and coordinate with the appropriate parties to ensure timely resolution.
• Maintain HR trackers, spreadsheets, databases, and other systems used to monitor employee information and requirements.
• Assist with onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring all required documentation and checklist items are completed.
• Support the HR team with various administrative and operational tasks as needed.
• Ensure employee information is handled accurately and confidentially.
• Identify missing, outdated, or inconsistent employee information and take appropriate steps to resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare basic HR reports, status updates, and tracking summaries when needed.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
• Proven experience as an HR Generalist or in a similar HR role for a U.S.-based company.
• Experience in employee relations, onboarding, benefits administration, and HR compliance.
• Familiarity with U.S. payroll processes, HRIS platforms, employee tracking systems, or other HR software is an advantage.
• Strong organizational and follow-up skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, deadlines, and employee requirements.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace, particularly Excel or Google Sheets.
• Ability to handle confidential employee information professionally.
• Proactive approach to identifying and following up on outstanding tasks.
