We are looking for a detail-oriented E-commerce Finance Assistant to manage and improve the financial reporting for our fashion dropshipping business.
We sell across the US, Canada, and UK, so our reporting involves multiple currencies, advertising costs, COGS, refunds, chargebacks, and other e-commerce expenses.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate daily, weekly, and monthly profitability reports
- Track revenue, discounts, refunds, chargebacks, COGS, payment fees, ad spend, and other expenses
- Calculate key metrics including gross profit, net profit, profit margin, ROAS, and POAS
- Reconcile data from different sources and identify discrepancies or missing/incorrect data
- Maintain clear profitability reporting across our US, Canadian, and UK markets
What We're Looking For
- Strong Google Sheets / Excel skills, including formulas and working with larger datasets
- Good understanding of revenue, COGS, gross profit, net profit, margins, ROAS, and POAS
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to spot numbers that don't make sense
We want someone who does more than simply enter numbers. You should be able to identify discrepancies, understand what drives profitability, and help us improve our financial reporting.
Required: Spreadsheet Example
- Please include a Google Sheet or Excel example created by you using 100% fictitious data.
- The example should be relevant to a fashion dropshipping store selling in the US, Canada, and UK and demonstrate how you would track profitability.
- We are particularly interested in how you structure the data, use formulas, handle multiple currencies, calculate profitability and ROAS/POAS, and flag discrepancies.
Do not submit any confidential data or spreadsheets from current or previous clients/employers.
