JOB OVERVIEW

Wholesale Nutrition | Australian Nutrition & Supplement Business

We are a small Australian business blending and packing protein powders and nutritional supplements. We have an established HACCP-certified operation and are looking for an experienced food safety professional to help maintain our system, improve documentation and prepare for annual audits remotely as much as possible.

You will work directly with the owner and Australian warehouse team.

Your responsibilities

- Maintain HACCP procedures, forms, registers and document version control.
- Obtain any supplier certifications, COAs, product specifications and expiry dates needed.
- Check production, receiving, cleaning, calibration, maintenance and training records.
- Support allergen management, label reviews, traceability and annual mock recalls.
- Track corrective actions, follow up missing evidence and prepare audit documentation.

What we’re looking for;

- Practical HACCP experience in audit and gathering documenation in the past.
- Relevant HACCP training and experience supporting external audits.
- Strong document management, attention to detail and English communication.
- Confidence working independently and following up outstanding tasks.
- Food Science/Food Technology qualifications.

Our warehouse team will perform physical checks and sign-offs; your role is to coordinate, review and maintain accurate records and overtime ideally we plan to introduce AI tools (ChatGPT) where possible to automate document preparation and routine administration wherever practical.

We’ll provide access to these tools and are looking for someone willing and comfortable learning and helping develop these processes as part of the role, while checking that records remain accurate. This will be secondary and not neccessary but we think useful tool in time.
