We’re looking for an experienced direct response copywriter who can write compelling, story-led sales copy for
Your main focus will be the long-form written copy people read alongside an ad. Copy that grabs attention, draws readers into a story, builds desire for the product, and gets them to take action.
You should know how to make a 1,000+ word ad feel effortless to read.
**What you’ll be writing**
Long-form ads built around customer experiences, product discoveries, and persuasive sales narratives.
A typical piece might take the reader through:
- A strong opening hook that makes them click “See more”.
- A relatable problem and its impact on everyday life.
- Previous solutions that left the customer disappointed.
- A discovery that introduces a different approach.
- A clear explanation of why the product is different.
- Relevant proof, answers to objections, and a compelling offer.
- A clear call to action.
We want writing that feels natural, personal, and conversational while following a deliberate sales structure. Every paragraph should give the reader a reason to keep reading.
**Your responsibilities**
- Research our products, customers, competitors, reviews, and customer language.
- Find fresh angles based on customer frustrations, desires, objections, and buying motivations.
- Write complete long-form Meta ads, typically 800–2,000 words depending on the concept.
- Develop multiple hooks and openings for testing.
- Explain product benefits and mechanisms in simple, persuasive language.
- Create distinct concepts rather than repeatedly rewriting the same angle.
- Revise copy based on feedback and advertising performance.
- Work from verified product information and genuine customer evidence without inventing testimonials, results, or claims.
**Who we’re looking for**
- Proven experience writing direct response sales copy, ideally for e-commerce brands.
- A portfolio containing long-form ads, advertorials, sales letters, or VSLs.
- Strong understanding of customer awareness, market sophistication, emotional buying motivations, and objection handling.
- Excellent written English and a natural conversational style.
- The ability to build curiosity and hold attention without padding the copy.
- Confidence researching a product and developing an angle from a brief.
- Someone who can explain the thinking behind their copy and take feedback well.
Experience writing for health and wellness brands is a plus.
Your work will be judged on the strength of its research, ideas, persuasion, and performance. Generic AI-generated copy won’t meet the standard.
**How to apply**
Please send:
1. A short introduction explaining your direct response copywriting experience.
2. Two or three relevant samples, preferably long-form
3. A brief explanation of the hook, angle, and sales structure behind your strongest sample.
4. Any performance results you can share, with context on what you were responsible for.
5. Your availability, preferred working arrangement, and expected rate.
Please use **“Long-Form Copywriter”** as your application subject line.
Shortlisted applicants will be invited to complete a paid test brief.
