Hi! I'm Steve Ronin, a Filipino-American documentary YouTuber based in the USA with over 3 million followers. I travel frequently, including to the Philippines, and I'm looking for a dedicated creative partner to work with me for the long term.
Your main responsibilities will be transforming my RAW exploration, documentary, and travel photos into polished, cinematic images; creating compelling YouTube thumbnails; and handling the design, captions, scheduling, and publishing of approved Instagram and
This role requires advanced Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop skills with hands-on social media management,
Also strong thumbnail design experience and proficiency with AI creative tools such as Higgsfield.
WHAT MATTERS MOST
Above all, I'm looking for consistency, dependable communication, the ability to listen and apply feedback, and a genuine desire to improve. I want someone who takes pride in their work, follows through on commitments, and grows with me as we develop the channel and brand.
THE CREATIVE STYLE
My photos document real places, experiences, and stories. I want cinematic edits that bring out the atmosphere, depth, and emotion of each image through intentional colour palettes, controlled contrast, rich tones, and thoughtful use of light and shadow.
You should be able to develop a cohesive look across a photo set while adapting to different locations and lighting conditions. Preserve natural skin tones, important details, and the authenticity of the scene. Strong creative judgment and careful adjustments are essential; applying the same preset to every image is not enough.
For YouTube thumbnails, I need bold, clear designs that spark curiosity and communicate the video's central story at a glance. You should understand subject separation, visual hierarchy, lighting, composition, and readability on a small screen. Each thumbnail should feel compelling and accurately represent the video.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
• Review and select the strongest images from my RAW photo collections.
• Develop and colour grade RAW photos in Adobe Lightroom, then use Photoshop for detailed retouching, masking, compositing, and refinement.
• Turn exploration, documentary, and travel photography into cinematic images ready for publication.
• Handle YouTube thumbnail design, from initial concepts and image selection through Photoshop compositing, revisions, and final exports.
• Create alternative thumbnail concepts for testing and use performance feedback to improve future designs.
• Use AI tools such as Higgsfield to explore concepts, generate supporting visual elements, and assist with thumbnail and design workflows. Refine the results in Photoshop so the finished work looks intentional and polished.
• Preserve the authenticity of documentary photos and ensure any AI-assisted thumbnail elements remain accurate to the video's subject.
• Design polished Instagram and
• Maintain a consistent visual identity across thumbnails, photo edits, and social media designs.
• Write engaging, natural captions that reflect my voice and tell the story behind the images.
• Manage a content calendar, prepare posts for approval, and schedule and publish approved content through Meta Business Suite.
• Organize source files, editable projects, final exports, and posting status so the workflow stays clear and reliable.
• Review content performance and suggest practical improvements to future thumbnails and posts.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
• Advanced Adobe Photoshop skills. You must be highly confident with layers, precise selections and masks, non-destructive retouching, compositing, dodge and burn, lighting and colour matching, and detailed image refinement.
• Advanced Adobe Lightroom skills. You must be experienced with RAW processing, cinematic colour grading, tone curves, masking, local adjustments, batch editing, and matching images across a collection.
• Strong YouTube thumbnail design skills. You must understand how to build a clear focal point, create curiosity, and make a design readable at mobile size. Your portfolio should include thumbnails you personally created.
• Practical experience with AI creative tools such as Higgsfield. You should be able to use reference images, write effective prompts, iterate on results, identify visual errors, and integrate useful outputs into a polished Photoshop workflow.
• Strong graphic design fundamentals, including composition, layout, typography, colour, and consistent visual identity.
• A portfolio demonstrating cinematic photo edits, compelling thumbnails, and polished social media designs. Exploration, documentary, or travel work is especially valuable.
• Experience managing Instagram and
• Excellent written English and strong caption-writing ability. Captions should sound personal, engaging, and accurate to the experience shown.
• Consistent availability, dependable communication, and the ability to meet agreed deadlines.
• A willingness to listen, ask thoughtful questions, apply feedback, and keep improving.
Lightroom, Photoshop, YouTube thumbnail design, AI-assisted creative work, and social media management are required for this position. Please apply only if you can confidently handle both the creative production and the publishing workflow.
HOW WE'LL WORK TOGETHER
Initially, we'll work closely on the photo editing style, thumbnail direction, caption voice, and approval process. As you learn my preferences, I want you to take greater ownership of turning my ideas and source material into finished content and keeping the posting schedule organized.
I'm looking for a dedicated creative partner who takes initiative, plans ahead, responds thoughtfully to feedback, and delivers consistent quality. If details needed for a caption or visual concept are missing, ask for context rather than inventing a story.
