Position Summary
Grace Integrated is seeking an experienced and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to oversee the financial health and long-term financial strategy of our growing behavioral health practice.
The CFO will be responsible for financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, financial reporting, payroll calculation, revenue cycle performance and profitability analysis. This individual will work closely with ownership and senior leadership to ensure that financial decisions support the continued growth and stability of the organization.
The ideal candidate combines strong financial and accounting expertise with an understanding of the unique financial challenges of healthcare and behavioral health organizations, including insurance reimbursement, clinician compensation, revenue cycle management, and multi-location operations.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field required
Master’s degree, MBA, CPA, CMA, or other advanced financial certification strongly preferred
Minimum of 5 years of progressive financial leadership experience
Healthcare, behavioral health, medical practice, or other healthcare services experience strongly preferred
Experience overseeing multi-million-dollar organizational budgets and financial operations
Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, financial statements, and profitability analysis
Experience with healthcare revenue cycle management and insurance reimbursement preferred
Experience with payroll, employee compensation models, and benefits-related financial planning
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Advanced proficiency with Excel and/or Google Sheets and financial reporting systems
Ability to translate complex financial information into clear recommendations for ownership and leadership
Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
Must be fluent in spoken and written English
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality regarding financial, employee, and organizational information
Primary Responsibilities
Oversee the overall financial operations and financial health of Grace Integrated
Develop and maintain annual budgets, financial forecasts, and long-term financial plans
Monitor organizational revenue, expenses, profitability, and cash flow
Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to ownership and senior leadership
Analyze financial performance across individual locations, departments, programs, and service lines
Develop and monitor key financial performance indicators and management dashboards
Evaluate clinician productivity, compensation, reimbursement, and profitability
Monitor payer reimbursement trends and their impact on organizational revenue
Collaborate with billing and claims leadership to evaluate accounts receivable, denials, collections, and revenue cycle performance
Oversee payroll-related financial processes and ensure appropriate financial controls
Review employee compensation structures, bonuses, benefits, and other labor-related expenses
Establish and maintain appropriate accounting procedures and internal financial controls
Coordinate with outside accountants, tax professionals, banking partners, insurance professionals, and other financial advisors
Evaluate capital expenditures, leases, property investments, and major organizational purchases
Perform financial analysis for new locations, service expansions, hiring initiatives, and other growth opportunities
Develop financial projections and feasibility analyses for potential business opportunities
Identify financial risks and recommend strategies to protect the organization
Support strategic planning, expansion, and long-term organizational growth
Ensure leadership has timely and accurate financial information necessary for decision-making
Leadership Responsibilities
The CFO will serve as a key member of the senior leadership team and will work closely with ownership and operational leadership.
The CFO is expected to provide leadership with a clear understanding of not only what the financial numbers are, but why they are changing and what actions may need to be considered.
The CFO should be capable of identifying financial trends early, challenging assumptions when appropriate, and helping leadership evaluate the financial consequences of major business decisions.

Grace Integrated is looking for a CFO who is analytical, organized, strategic, accountable, and comfortable working in a growing organization.
The successful candidate should be able to move between high-level financial strategy and detailed financial analysis. This individual should understand that the financial performance of a behavioral health organization depends heavily on clinician productivity, staffing costs, payer reimbursement, claims performance, utilization, and responsible growth.
Experience working with a multi-location behavioral health, mental health, medical, or other healthcare organization is highly desirable.
