JOB OVERVIEW

Full-Time Social Media Content Creator

Remote | Music, Nightlife & Educational Events

We are looking for a **full-time Social Media Content Creator** to manage daily content for three New York City brands: Sour Mouse, Sugar Mouse, and PhDs & Pints.

Our NYC team will provide a continuous library of raw photos, videos, concert footage, event flyers, interviews and lecture recordings. **You do not need to film content.** Your job is to transform our raw material into engaging social-media content.

Posting Expectations

You will create and publish approximately **2 posts per day for each brand**, or about **6 posts per day / 180 posts per month**.

Content will include Instagram Reels, TikToks, short lecture clips, concert clips, photo posts, carousels, artist/professor spotlights, upcoming-event promotions and event recaps.

The goal is **not simply to post six times a day**. We want someone who learns what performs, identifies the strongest moments in our footage, and continually improves our content.

### Your Responsibilities

* Review photos and videos uploaded by our NYC team
* Turn raw footage into engaging Reels and TikToks
* Identify strong hooks and interesting moments
* Edit videos with captions, music and text overlays
* Create simple graphics and carousels
* Write engaging captions
* Maintain a content calendar
* Schedule and publish content consistently
* Maintain a distinct identity for each of our three brands
* Repurpose strong footage across platforms when appropriate
* Track which content performs best
* Develop new content ideas based on trends and performance
* Communicate with our NYC marketing team

### The Three Brands

**Sour Mouse** — An NYC live-music and nightlife venue featuring jazz, blues, bands, DJs and community events. Content should feel authentic, energetic and music-driven.

**Sugar Mouse** — A large NYC entertainment venue featuring live music, nightlife, games, dancing and events. Content should communicate **“this looks like a fun place to go with friends.”**

**PhDs & Pints** — Professors and experts giving fascinating talks in a bar setting. Content should turn longer lectures into compelling short clips that make viewers think:

> **“I didn't know that—I want to hear more.”**

### Ideal Candidate

You should have strong experience with **Instagram Reels, TikTok and short-form video editing** and be comfortable with tools such as CapCut, Canva, Premiere Pro or similar software.

We're looking for someone who understands **hooks, storytelling, pacing and social-media trends**, has strong written English, works independently and can eventually understand our brands well enough that we don't need to tell you what to create every day.

Experience with **music, nightlife, hospitality, events or educational content** is a major plus.

### Full-Time Position

This is intended to be an **ongoing, long-term position**, not a short freelance project.

Applicants should provide their **desired monthly salary in USD**, availability and normal working hours.

### How to Apply

Please send us your resume or brief introduction, links to social-media accounts you've managed, 3–5 examples of Reels/TikToks you've personally created, the editing software you use, your desired monthly salary, and your availability.

**Begin your application with “SOUR MOUSE” so we know you read the entire posting.**

### Paid Finalist Test

Selected finalists will receive the **same folder of raw content** and will be paid to create three pieces:

**1 Sour Mouse post • 1 Sugar Mouse post • 1 PhDs & Pints post**

We'll evaluate **the hook, editing, storytelling, caption, brand fit and overall creativity**.
