Hi, I'm Victor. I'm French and I run Vicou Studio on my own: I design and build custom websites and web apps for all kinds of businesses, from barbers, bakeries and local craftsmen to bigger companies.
THE ROLE IN ONE SENTENCE
You find business owners who need a new website, you talk with them, and you bring them to me once they've said yes: they know what they want, they've agreed to the price, and they're ready to start.
HOW WE SPLIT THE WORK
Your part:
- Find businesses that are doing well but have a weak website (none, outdated, not working on mobile), anywhere in the world
- Spot the ones that already pay for booking or coaching software: they're a great fit for a custom app
- Reach the owner or decision maker, the way you're most comfortable with:
- Talk with them and really understand their needs: every website is different, and it has to fit the client's business
- Handle their objections and get their agreement on the project and the price
- Introduce them to me once they're ready, with a clear written summary of each call or exchange: what they need, what they expect, their budget
My part:
- One kick-off call or WhatsApp exchange with the client, only to gather the project details
- The quote, the contract and the deposit
- Designing and building the website
I'm not a salesperson, and I want to spend my time building. That's why I'm looking for someone who closes, not just someone who books meetings because I could books meeting by myself.
WHAT YOU GET FROM ME
- My offers and prices, so you can talk about them with confidence
- For prospects who are clearly interested: a short preview (one or two screens of what their new website could look like) to help them d
- Examples of my work:
A BIT ABOUT ME
I've built a lot of websites over the years on Shopify and WordPress. Today, thanks to AI-assisted development, I'm no longer limited to a CMS: I write custom code and deploy it directly, with no template limits, and much faster. Shopify stays my choice for online stores, because it's easier for clients to manage.
ABOUT THE BUDGET
My projects are priced in the thousands of dollars. That doesn't mean big companies only: a barber or a bakery that's doing well can invest in a custom website too. But you need to be comfortable talking about that kind of budget with a business owner.
HOW YOU WORK
- Every message goes out under Vicou Studio, so it has to be clean and personal: no mass copy-paste, no spam. At the start, we review the messages together before they're sent
- Feel free to use AI tools, I use them a lot. But I'm not looking for scraped lists: I can build those myself. I'm looking for the human part: the conversations that turn into clients
- Quality over volume: a few well-chosen prospects beat hundreds of random messages
WHO I'M LOOKING FOR
- Proven experience in sales, closing or appointment setting, ideally for a web, marketing or digital agency
- Experience selling offers in the thousands of dollars
- Strong at handling objections, the big ones and the basic ones: "it's too expensive", "I already have someone", "I'll think about it"... You don't give up at the first "meh": you understand what's behind it and bring the conversation back to what the client needs
- An eye for websites: you can tell an outdated one, and a business that's doing well
- Good written and spoken English
You already know business owners who need a website? Tell me, that's a big plus.
HOW YOU GET PAID
- A fixed monthly salary (part-time, about 20 hours a week), plus a commission on every sale that gets paid
- We agree on both together, based on your experience
- The bigger the projects you bring, the more you earn
- If it goes well, your pay grows with the results, and the role can become full-time
HOW TO APPLY
Apply the way you like: a written message or a short video. Just write "READY TO TALK" somewhere, so I know you read this far. If you can, tell me:
- the best client you ever brought in, how, and for how much
- what you usually sold and at what price
- how you answer a business owner who says "it's too expensive"
- how you would tell, from public info, that a business is doing well
- the languages and markets you know, your availability and time zone
NEXT STEPS
I read every application and reply to the ones that fit. If we're a good match, we start with a short paid first mission, and I'll explain everything in private.
Thanks for reading, I look forward to hearing from you!
