About GIVE Society
GIVE Society is a luxury social club with a purpose. We bring together professionals, entrepreneurs, community leaders, and brands through unforgettable experiences that cultivate meaningful connections while creating opportunities and resources for foster youth.
Our mission is simple: create unforgettable experiences that fund unforgettable futures.
As GIVE Society grows, we are looking for a resourceful and detail-oriented Grant Writer & Funding Coordinator who can help us identify and pursue funding opportunities for our organization, foster youth initiatives, community programming, and future events.
This is not a role where we simply provide you with a list of grants to write.
We are looking for someone who can research opportunities, determine our eligibility, develop strong applications, submit grants, and maintain an organized funding pipeline.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
Grant Research & Qualification
Research local, state, national, corporate, and foundation grant opportunities
Identify grants aligned with foster youth, education, community development, young adults, social impact, and related initiatives
Research corporate giving programs and community grants
Review eligibility requirements before recommending opportunities
Prioritize grants based on fit, potential funding amount, deadline, and likelihood of alignment
Identify recurring grant opportunities we can pursue annually
Grant Writing & Applications
Write compelling grant applications tailored to each funder
Draft letters of inquiry, proposals, organizational descriptions, program narratives, impact statements, and funding requests
Adapt our existing mission, programs, budgets, and organizational materials for different applications
Complete online grant applications and required forms
Help gather and organize supporting documents needed for submissions
Proofread applications for accuracy, consistency, and professionalism
Submission & Follow-Up
Submit completed applications when authorized
Track application deadlines and submission statuses
Maintain a grant calendar and funding pipeline
Track requested amounts, awarded amounts, declines, pending applications, and follow-up dates
Identify reporting requirements for successful grants
Follow up on applications when appropriate
Funding Strategy
Help us determine which types of grants are most realistic for GIVE Society
Identify gaps in our materials that may prevent us from qualifying for funding
Recommend opportunities we should prepare for in advance
Help develop reusable grant language and an organized grant library for future applications
What We’re Looking For
You may be a great fit if you:
Have previous nonprofit grant writing or grant research experience
Have personally completed and/or submitted grant applications
Know how to research foundations, corporations, and community funding opportunities
Can determine eligibility without needing constant direction
Write persuasive but accurate applications
Are highly organized and deadline-driven
Are comfortable working independently
Can communicate clearly when additional information or documentation is needed
Understand that every funder requires a different approach rather than copying and pasting the same proposal
Are comfortable using Google Drive, Google Docs, Google Sheets, and online application portals
Can maintain a clear funding tracker or CRM
Experience with U.S.-based nonprofits, corporate giving programs, foster youth organizations, education, community programs, or event-based nonprofits is a strong plus.
What Success Looks Like
We do not measure success solely by the number of applications submitted.
We want:
Qualified funding opportunities
Strong, complete applications
Consistent submissions
An organized grant pipeline
Clear communication about deadlines and requirements
Funding opportunities that genuinely align with GIVE Society
A repeatable grant process we can continue using as the organization grows
To Apply
Please do not send only a generic cover letter.
Include the following in your application:
1. Tell us about your grant writing experience.
What types of organizations and grants have you worked with?
2. Give us an example of a grant you personally helped secure.
What was the grant amount, what type of organization was it for, and what part of the process did you personally handle?
3. Walk us through how you would find grants for GIVE Society.
Based on our focus on foster youth, community impact, professionals, entrepreneurs, and experiential fundraising, where would you begin?
4. How do you determine whether an organization is actually eligible for a grant before spending time on the application?
5. How many well-researched grant opportunities/applications could you realistically manage each month?
6. What tools or databases do you typically use for grant research?
7. Please provide 1–2 writing samples or examples of previous grant proposals, with confidential information removed if necessary.
8. Tell us your hourly rate and weekly availability.
Please begin your application with the words “GIVE GRANTS” so we know you read the full posting.
Why Join GIVE Society?
This is an opportunity to help build the funding infrastructure of a growing social-impact organization—not simply complete one-off grant applications.
The right person can grow with us as we expand our foster youth initiatives, partnerships, annual GIVE Gala, and additional GIVE Society experiences.
We’re looking for someone who is proactive, resourceful, organized, and genuinely enjoys finding opportunities other people overlook.
