JJT Consulting Group helps U.S. business owners prepare for and access capital. A major part of our work is 0% introductory APR business credit card funding. We review the full credit and business profile, build a funding strategy, sequence applications, and guide clients through the process.
We’re looking for an **experienced Funding Specialist with a verifiable history of working in U.S. business funding**. This is not an entry-level role. You must have personally managed funding files and be able to explain your past responsibilities, decisions, and results in detail.
## What you’ll do
- Review clients’ three-bureau credit reports, existing cards, limits, balances, inquiries, credit age, payment history, and business information.
- Identify funding readiness issues and create a clear plan to address them.
- Build individualized 0% APR business credit card funding strategies based on the client’s profile, banking relationships, eligibility, and current offers.
- Recommend an application sequence and explain the reasoning behind it.
- Guide clients through applications and communicate with banks when follow-up or reconsideration is appropriate.
- Track applications, approvals, limits, denials, inquiries, and next steps accurately in GoHighLevel.
- Keep clients informed, set realistic expectations, and escalate difficult files promptly.
- Verify current bank offers and requirements before advising a client to apply.
- Work closely with our funding manager and client success team to move files forward.
## Required experience
- Prior employment or long-term contract experience with a **U.S. business funding, business credit, or credit card stacking company**.
- Direct, hands-on experience reviewing credit profiles, building funding strategies, sequencing applications, and managing clients through approvals.
- A clear employment history showing **where you worked, when you worked there, your title, who you reported to, and what you were personally responsible for**.
- The ability to discuss specific funding files you handled, including your strategy, obstacles, approvals, and lessons learned—without sharing private client information.
- Strong knowledge of personal credit, business fundability, utilization, comparable limits, inquiries, and application timing.
- Experience reading reports from Experian, Equifax, and TransUnion.
- The judgment to pause a file when applying would be premature.
- Clear spoken and written English for live client calls and written updates.
- Strong organization and availability during U.S. Eastern business hours.
Experience with GoHighLevel, bank reconsideration, business lines of credit, and other funding products is a plus.
## What success looks like
You build thoughtful, documented funding plans. Clients understand the strategy and their next step. Applications are accurate and properly tracked. You take ownership of denials and stalled files, and you avoid unnecessary applications that could hurt a client’s funding options.
We care about approval quality and sound judgment—not just the number of applications submitted.
## How to apply
Please send the following:
1. **Your résumé with complete relevant employment history.** For each funding-related role, include the company name, dates of employment, job title, manager or department, your day-to-day responsibilities, and the funding products you worked on. Explain any consulting or freelance work separately.
2. **A short video introduction** explaining your previous funding roles, what you personally owned, and the types of client results you helped produce.
3. **Answers to the screening questions below.** Use examples from your own work and remove all client identifying information.
### Screening questions
1. Which U.S. funding or business credit companies have you worked for? When did you work there, what was your title, who did you report to, and why did you leave each role?
2. At each company, which parts of the funding process did **you personally handle**? Which parts were handled by a manager, salesperson, or another team member?
3. Walk us through one client file you personally managed from initial credit review through funding. What was the profile, what strategy did you recommend, and what were the results?
4. What would cause you to tell a client **not to apply yet**, even if their credit score is above 720?
