Canopy Trades is building a Greater Toronto Area water and fire damage restoration service line with an experienced estimator and a local field labour team. We need a persistent, personable remote partner development coordinator who can build genuine relationships with plumbers and other trades that hear about urgent property damage first.
This is a part-time, paid two-week pilot at 15 hours per week. The job is relationship building and fast handoff of qualified opportunities, not technical estimating or insurance claims handling.
What you will do:
- Research and prioritize GTA plumbers, drain and sewer firms, sump pump specialists, emergency trades, and property-service contacts in areas we can serve.
- Make thoughtful, individual introductions by phone and approved outreach channels. Learn each partner's needs, build trust, schedule conversations with our local team, and follow up reliably.
- Keep a clean partner pipeline: company, contact, trade, service area, conversation history, permission and next step. Respect opt-outs and Canadian outreach rules; no mass unsolicited messages.
- When a partner has a live water or fire damage opportunity, promptly collect the location, type of issue, urgency, contact permission, and best callback number, then route it to our local estimator/office team. Do not attempt to diagnose damage, quote a price, adjust a claim, or promise insurance coverage or claim payment.
- Report weekly on real conversations, partner meetings, active relationships, qualified referrals, and jobs won from those referrals.
You will follow our approved partner and referral process. Do not offer or negotiate referral payments or incentives; management handles any proposed arrangement after legal review.
We are looking for strong spoken English, confidence on the phone, disciplined follow-up, and experience in B2B appointment setting or relationship development for home services, construction, plumbing, restoration, or property management. You must overlap Toronto business hours and be able to respond quickly to urgent handoffs during your agreed shifts. Familiarity with CRM tools is helpful.
To apply, send: (1) a specific example of a trade or B2B relationship you built and what it produced; (2) a short first-call approach for an independent GTA plumber; (3) how you would capture and route a live basement flood tip; (4) your hourly rate, Toronto-time availability, and a short voice introduction. Please do not send a generic application.
