JOB OVERVIEW

About the Role
Innovate Well Group is seeking a creative and strategic Content & Social Media Manager to manage content production and social media across IWG and affiliated brands, with an initial focus on Innovate Well Group and Home Is Moving.
Home Is Moving is a storytelling platform exploring motherhood, travel, living abroad, identity, family, belonging, and the experience of continuing to become throughout adulthood.
The Content & Social Media Manager will be responsible for transforming ideas and written content into engaging digital assets and ensuring content moves consistently from concept to publication.
This role requires more than posting finished content. IWG is seeking someone who can identify opportunities, manage an editorial calendar, create strong visual and video content, repurpose existing material, and increasingly manage routine publishing independently.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain content calendars in collaboration with the Writer & Editorial Partner
• Transform long form writing and thought leadership into social media content
• Create graphics, carousels, short form videos, Reels, and other digital assets
• Edit video and audio content for digital platforms
• Draft or adapt short form captions as appropriate
• Schedule and publish content across selected platforms
• Maintain an organized library of photos, videos, graphics, templates, and other digital assets
• Identify opportunities to repurpose existing content across platforms and formats
• Recommend content ideas and formats based on brand priorities, audience interests, and performance
• Maintain consistency across visual presentation, messaging, and brand voice
• Monitor engagement and content performance
• Provide periodic insights and recommendations based on content analytics
• Coordinate directly with the Writer & Editorial Partner to move content efficiently from idea to publication
Autonomy and Ownership
During the initial onboarding period, content will be reviewed collaboratively while brand standards, voice, visual direction, and publishing processes are established.
The expectation is not for every post to require ongoing approval.
As trust and systems are established, the Content & Social Media Manager will have increasing ownership of routine content creation, scheduling, and publication within established brand and editorial guidelines.
The ideal candidate will proactively identify opportunities and make recommendations rather than waiting for every content idea to be assigned.
Qualifications
• Experience managing social media for organizations, founders, thought leaders, consultants, or personal brands
• Strong portfolio demonstrating graphics, carousels, video, and social media content
• Strong understanding of storytelling and audience engagement
• Experience with Canva and video editing tools
• Ability to translate one idea into multiple pieces of platform appropriate content
• Strong visual and editorial judgment
• Understanding of content analytics and ability to translate performance into practical recommendations
• Strong organizational skills and experience managing editorial or publishing calendars
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Interest in both professional thought leadership and personal storytelling
Success in This Role
Success means IWG and its affiliated brands maintain a thoughtful, recognizable, and consistent digital presence without requiring the Founder to personally manage every stage of content production.
Strong ideas are captured and repurposed effectively. Content is published consistently. Digital assets remain organized. Performance informs future strategy.
The Founder should increasingly be able to focus on providing expertise, stories, ideas, and on camera presence while the content team manages the process of turning those inputs into finished content.
