Job Overview
We are looking for a skilled WordPress Front-End Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate has strong experience building responsive, visually polished, and high-performing WordPress websites and can translate designs into accurate, user-friendly web experiences.
You will work closely with designers, developers, and project stakeholders to build and maintain WordPress websites while ensuring excellent performance, responsiveness, accessibility, and cross-browser compatibility.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain responsive WordPress websites and landing pages.
- Convert Figma, Adobe XD, or other design files into accurate, functional WordPress pages.
- Build and customize WordPress themes, templates, and reusable front-end components.
- Work with page builders such as Elementor, Gutenberg, or similar tools when required.
- Write clean, maintainable HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and PHP for WordPress projects.
- Ensure websites are fully responsive across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.
- Optimize websites for page speed, Core Web Vitals, SEO, and overall performance.
- Troubleshoot front-end bugs, layout issues, plugin conflicts, and browser compatibility problems.
- Implement animations, interactive elements, forms, and other front-end functionality.
- Follow accessibility and modern web-development best practices.
- Collaborate with designers and back-end developers to deliver projects according to specifications and deadlines.
- Perform website updates, maintenance, testing, and quality assurance.
- Maintain consistent coding and design standards across projects.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as a WordPress Front-End Developer or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and responsive web development.
- Experience developing and customizing WordPress themes and templates.
- Working knowledge of PHP and the WordPress template structure.
- Experience translating Figma or similar designs into responsive websites.
- Experience with Elementor, Gutenberg, Advanced Custom Fields (ACF), or comparable WordPress tools.
- Knowledge of website performance optimization and Core Web Vitals.
- Familiarity with technical and on-page SEO best practices.
- Ability to troubleshoot WordPress and front-end issues independently.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately implement designs.
- Good communication, organization, and time-management skills.
Nice to Have
- Experience building custom WordPress themes from scratch.
- Experience with WooCommerce.
- Knowledge of SCSS/Sass, Tailwind CSS, Bootstrap, or other front-end frameworks.
- Experience working with REST APIs and third-party integrations.
- Understanding of WordPress security best practices.
- Familiarity with hosting environments, DNS, staging sites, and website migrations.
- Experience working in an agency or managing multiple WordPress projects simultaneously.
