We are looking for an experienced Digital Marketing Account Manager who has worked inside a digital marketing agency and is comfortable independently managing clients, solving problems, and coordinating a team of specialists.
This is not a virtual assistant or entry-level project management position.
We already have team members who handle administrative work and specialists who execute SEO, Google Ads, Meta Ads, websites, automation and other marketing services.
What we need is an experienced person who can sit between our clients and our production team, take ownership of problems, and make sure things get solved without everything needing to go through the agency owner.
## What You'll Do
- Serve as a primary point of contact for assigned clients.
- Understand what a client is actually trying to accomplish when they submit a request or raise a problem.
- Manage website projects, revisions and client feedback.
- Coordinate SEO, paid advertising, website, CRM and other marketing work with our specialists.
- Review work and identify problems before it reaches the client.
- Help clients work through marketing questions and make reasonable recommendations.
- Handle difficult or unhappy client situations professionally.
- Turn client needs into clear assignments for the appropriate team members.
- Keep projects moving and make sure commitments and deadlines aren't forgotten.
- Work with our Client Success Coordinator, who assists with routine communication, follow-up and administrative tasks.
- Escalate issues to the owner when they truly require senior strategic involvement—not simply because something is unfamiliar.
What We're Looking For
You should have several years of experience working with clients at a digital marketing agency.
You don't need to personally execute every marketing service, but you should understand enough about digital marketing to intelligently manage specialists and clients.
You should be comfortable discussing and managing projects involving:
- SEO and content marketing
- Website design and development
- Website UX, navigation and conversion
- Google Ads and Meta Ads
- CRM and marketing automation
- Lead generation
- Analytics and marketing performance
Experience with GoHighLevel and ClickUp is helpful but not required.
The Most Important Part of This Job
We are looking for someone who takes ownership.
If a client says:
"I'm not happy with my new website."
We don't want you to simply forward the message to the owner.
We want you to speak with the client, understand the problem, evaluate what needs to change, coordinate with the appropriate team members, and move the issue toward a solution.
If a client has a technical problem, you don't necessarily need to personally fix it. But you should be able to determine who needs to be involved, get the right people working on it, communicate with the client, and make sure it gets resolved.
You should be comfortable encountering situations where there isn't an existing SOP and using good judgment to determine the next step.

The owner is transitioning away from day-to-day account management to focus primarily on strategy, sales and business development.
A major measure of success in this position will be your ability to independently handle the day-to-day client and marketing issues that would otherwise require the owner's involvement.
Schedule & Compensation
This position will begin at approximately 20 hours per week.
