JOB OVERVIEW

Location: Work-from-Home (Independent Contractor)
Contract Type: Contractor, Part-time to start, 10 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Schedule: Monday to Friday | 9 AM–2 PM or 12–5 PM AEST/AEDT

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Interior Design Draftsperson & Project Coordinator to support the delivery of high-end residential interior design projects.

This role focuses primarily on technical drafting, SketchUp modelling, documentation, and project coordination, while supporting the Principal Designer to concentrate on client relationships, creative direction, and business growth.

Key Responsibilities

Produce SketchUp models from measured plans and architectural drawings.
Prepare base plans and elevations, furniture layouts, joinery details, wet area layouts, lighting and electrical plans.
Maintain and revise drawing sets using SketchUp Layout.
Assist with V-Ray rendering and presentation imagery where appropriate.
Maintain documentation, revisions, file structures and naming conventions in OneDrive.
Track project schedules, milestones and deadlines.
Coordinate meetings and support communications with builders, consultants and suppliers.
Prepare Scope of Works, FF&E (Furniture, Fixtures & Equipment) and project schedules.
Request quotations, follow up on samples and assist with procurement administration.
Prepare proposals, organise project documentation and maintain project records.
Prepare presentation boards using Canva and SketchUp Layout.

Experience

Bachelor of Science in Interior Design, Architecture, or equivalent
Minimum 3 years' experience in Interior Design or Interior Drafting.
Strong residential documentation experience.
Ability to interpret architectural drawings.
Experience with joinery detailing and bathroom documentation.
Excellent written and spoken English.
High attention to detail.

Able to work independently and as part of a remote team.

Suggested Allocation of Time

70–80% Technical drafting, SketchUp modelling and documentation
20–30% Project coordination, supplier liaison and administration
