About the Role
We are seeking an experienced, highly organised and detail-oriented Immigration Paralegal to join a growing Australian legal practice specialising in migration and administrative law.
The ideal candidate will have experience in Australian immigration processes, legal document preparation, visa applications and case management. You will work closely with lawyers and migration agents to ensure applications are prepared accurately, deadlines are met, and clients receive professional and timely support.
Key Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive paralegal and administrative support to lawyers and migration agents.
Draft legal correspondence, client statements, letters of instruction, submissions and other legal documents.
Prepare and assist with visa applications, appeals and submissions to relevant Australian immigration authorities, review tribunals and courts.
Manage client files, monitor critical deadlines and follow up on outstanding documents and requirements.
Maintain accurate records in Migration Manager, including correspondence, document collection, document reviews and visa applications.
Upload supporting evidence and documentation to relevant immigration portals and case management systems.
Liaise professionally with clients, lawyers, counsel and other stakeholders.
Assist with invoicing, trust account administration and general office administration.
Maintain strict confidentiality and ensure accuracy in all documentation.
Stay up to date on Australian immigration laws, regulations, and procedures.
Qualifications and Experience
Degree in Legal Studies, Law or a related field, or an equivalent qualification.
Previous experience as a Paralegal, preferably specialising in Australian immigration or administrative law.
Knowledge of Australian visa applications, migration processes and relevant legislation.
Experience using Migration Manager is highly desirable.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
Strong attention to detail, organisation and time management.
Ability to manage multiple cases, meet strict deadlines and work independently.
Confident in communicating with clients and following up on outstanding requirements.
