JOB OVERVIEW

Fiberpol Inc. is an established manufacturer and supplier of kitchens, cabinetry, countertops and interior products based in Barbados. We are looking for an experienced remote Kitchen & Cabinetry Designer to support our sales team.

The role will initially be part-time (approximately 20 hours/week), with the potential to develop into a larger long-term role.

You will receive site measurements, photographs, sketches, appliance specifications and customer requirements from our Barbados team and use these to produce accurate kitchen and cabinetry designs.

Typical work includes:
- Kitchen and cabinetry layouts
- Floor plans and elevations
- 3D customer presentation drawings/renderings
- Design revisions
- Cabinet schedules and technical information
- Identifying missing/conflicting measurements or information
- Potential future preparation of production/shop drawings

Software:
We currently use ProKitchen and Cabinet Vision.
Strong hands-on experience in at least one is required. Experience with both is highly preferred.

We are looking for someone who understands cabinetry, not simply someone who can create attractive renders. Knowledge of European style, frameless cabinet construction, fillers, finished ends, appliance clearances, corner conditions, hardware, countertops and manufacturing limitations is important.

Cabinet Vision manufacturing experience is a major advantage, including shop drawings, cut lists and/or CNC preparation.

Accuracy and communication are extremely important. If measurements or information appear incorrect or incomplete, we expect you to identify the issue and ask rather than make an assumption.
