Graphic Designer – AI Image Editing & Product Packaging (Part-Time)

We are a fast-growing e-commerce brand looking for a creative and experienced Graphic Designer to join our team on a part-time basis.

We are looking for someone who is very good at creating realistic, high-quality images with AI and turning them into professional designs for our website, product pages, advertisements, banners, packaging, and other marketing materials.

For most of our day-to-day design and editing work, we prefer to work in Canva where possible. You should therefore be very comfortable and efficient with Canva. Photoshop or other professional editing software can also be used when needed.

A big part of this role is combining strong graphic design skills with the latest AI image-generation tools.

AI IMAGE CREATION

You should be very comfortable creating high-quality and realistic images using tools such as:

* ChatGPT Pro image generation
* Nano Banana Pro
* Higgsfield
* Other professional AI image-generation tools

We especially care about realism and product accuracy.

You should understand how to properly prompt and work with reference images to create the exact type of image we need.

For example, you should be able to:

* Create realistic people naturally using or holding our products
* Create realistic lifestyle scenes around our products
* Create professional close-up product images
* Create premium studio-style product photography
* Make our products look high-end and professionally photographed
* Place our actual products realistically into AI-generated environments
* Maintain the correct product shape, packaging, colors, branding, and labels
* Create different camera angles and compositions from product references
* Create realistic close-ups of people, hands, faces, products, and product usage
* Control lighting, shadows, reflections, depth of field, and camera perspective
* Create images that look like real commercial photography rather than obvious AI
* Use prompting and reference images to maintain consistency between different images

We are not looking for someone who simply types a basic prompt and selects the first image.

You should understand how to build and refine prompts, use references correctly, iterate on generations, and recognize what needs to be changed to achieve a professional result.

The goal is to create images that could realistically have come from a professional e-commerce or product photoshoot.

CANVA & GRAPHIC DESIGN

After creating the images, you will often turn them into finished designs in Canva.

We prefer Canva for much of our regular creative work because it allows our team to easily access, edit, duplicate, and reuse designs.

Your work can include:

* Website images
* Homepage banners
* Product page images
* Landing page graphics
* Advertising creatives
* Promotional banners
* Lifestyle product images
* Product benefit graphics
* Comparison graphics
* Offer and sale creatives
* Email graphics
* Social media creatives
* Product mockups
* Other e-commerce marketing materials

You should have a strong eye for layout, typography, spacing, composition, colors, and branding.

You should be comfortable combining AI-generated imagery, real product assets, text, icons, graphics, and other elements into professional finished creatives.

Canva will be our preferred software for many of these tasks. Photoshop or other professional design software can be used for more advanced editing when necessary.

PRODUCT PACKAGING DESIGN

Another important part of the role will be helping us create and update packaging for our products.

This can include:

* Product boxes
* Pouches
* Labels
* Sachets
* Bottles and containers
* Product inserts
* Packaging mockups
* New product packaging

We already have an established brand and existing product packaging.

When we create a new product, the packaging should look like it belongs to the same brand and product family.

You should be able to study our existing designs and maintain consistency across colors, fonts, typography, icons, layout, spacing, product presentation, and overall visual identity.

You may also receive packaging dielines or templates from manufacturers that need to be adapted into final packaging designs.

EXPERIENCE WE REQUIRE

This is not an entry-level position.

You should already have experience using professional graphic design and AI image-generation software and have previous experience creating designs for brands, e-commerce businesses, agencies, or similar companies.

We are looking for someone with:

* Previous professional graphic design experience
* Previous experience working with brands
* Strong Canva experience
* Experience with Photoshop or similar professional editing software
* Strong experience with AI image-generation software
* Strong prompting skills
* Experience working with reference images
* Ability to create realistic AI product photography
* Ability to create realistic people using products
* Experience creating website and e-commerce graphics
* Experience creating banners and advertising creatives
* Experience maintaining an established brand identity
* Experience with product packaging or label design
* Good understanding of typography and layout
* Good understanding of e-commerce design
* Strong attention to detail
* Good English communication
* Ability to work independently

Experience working specifically with e-commerce or DTC brands is a big advantage.

HOW WE WORK

Sometimes we will give you a detailed brief with exactly what we want.

Other times, we may send you an existing design, competitor example, product photo, reference image, or rough idea and ask you to turn it into something that fits our brand.

You should be able to understand the idea and execute it without needing every individual step explained.

We work quickly and regularly need new website images, advertisements, banners, product images, and other creatives.

Over time, we want you to become very familiar with our brand so you can immediately recognize what fits our visual identity.

This is a part-time position, but we are looking for someone for a long-term collaboration. There may also be opportunities for additional hours and responsibilities as we grow.
