Senior Video Editor — Fashion, Creator & Brand Content
Location: Remote — Philippines Schedule: Part-time to start (~10–15 hrs/week), expanding with project volume and performance Compensation: $7–$12 USD/hour, set by experience and the strength of your portfolio See our work:
About the role
Bellaura is an early-stage technology and media company building a platform for creators and creative professionals. We produce content with models, photographers, designers, influencers, artists, brands, events, and luxury properties.
We're hiring one dedicated video editor to turn raw footage into finished work that feels intentional, cinematic, and professionally produced.
This is not a general VA role, and it isn't a CapCut-template role. We need an editor who can take a disorganized folder of footage, understand the audience and the aesthetic, and independently build something good — then explain why it works.
The right person becomes a long-term member of our media team and takes ownership of increasingly important projects as we grow.
About the pay range
We want to be direct about this, because vague compensation wastes everyone's time.
$7/hour is for a capable editor who is still building range and needs some creative direction.
$12/hour is for an editor whose reel makes the decision easy — consistent taste, clean audio, confident color, and the judgment to make a piece land without being told how.
Where you fall is d
If your work is genuinely above this band, tell us. Show us why and we'll have the conversation.
What you'll do
Review and organize footage, select the strongest moments, and build a clear story or sequence
Edit short-form social content, reels, event recaps, interviews, fashion films, behind-the-scenes, and promotional pieces
Build compelling openings, intentional pacing, and endings that land
Edit and mix dialogue, music, sound effects, and ambient audio
Perform professional color correction and grading
Create accurate captions, titles, motion graphics, and simple visual effects
Sync multicamera footage and external audio
Reframe and optimize for vertical, horizontal, and platform-specific delivery
Follow creative direction while contributing your own editorial recommendations
Incorporate feedback quickly with clean version control
Keep project files, media, exports, and archives organized
Run final QC before delivery
What you need
A portfolio of consistently high-quality work. This is the primary thing we evaluate.
Significant professional video-editing experience
Strong command of a professional editing and color workflow. We work in DaVinci Resolve and prefer editors who do too — but a strong Premiere or Final Cut editor willing to work in Resolve is welcome to apply. Your judgment matters more than your software.
Real color-correction and grading ability
The ability to clean, mix, and balance dialogue, music, and effects
Strong understanding of storytelling, pacing, composition, and viewer retention
Experience with both short-form and longer-form content
Strong written and spoken English — you'll be identifying moments in English-language footage, writing captions, and discussing revisions directly
A computer, internet connection, and storage that can reliably handle large media files
The ability to hold a quality bar across multiple active projects and firm deadlines
Strongly preferred: fashion and editorial, beauty and lifestyle, luxury brands, creator and influencer content, events and nightlife, founder-led interviews, commercial advertising, or music and performance content.
We also produce real-estate and luxury-property media for brand clients, so experience there is a real plus.
Experience with Fusion, After Effects, Photoshop, professional audio workflows, proxy workflows, and remote review platforms is valuable.
The quality bar
We're looking for more than technically correct cuts. Your portfolio should show:
Strong selection of moments and performances
Intentional pacing rather than reflexive fast cutting
Clean, professional audio
Consistent, tasteful color
Effective use of music and sound design
Restraint with transitions and effects
An understanding of premium brand aesthetics
The ability to create emotion, energy, or narrative out of raw footage
Templates, effects, and AI tools can support the process. They shouldn't replace editorial judgment. If you use AI in your workflow, just tell us how — we use it too.
How we work
Remote, flexible hours — but deadlines and scheduled reviews are firm commitments
You'll work directly with the founder and the media team
You may use finished Bellaura work in your own reel, with attribution
Finalists are invited to a short paid editing trial — $75 USD for roughly 3–4 hours, using footage we supply. Paid on delivery whether or not we move forward.
How to apply
Keep it focused. We would rather read something specific than something long.
Send us:
Your reel or portfolio link
Three to five examples that best represent your work
Your location and time zone, weekly availability, earliest start date, and expected hourly rate
Your primary editing, color, audio, and motion-graphics software
Then answer these two questions:
1. Pick three of your strongest edits and tell us exactly what you contributed to each.
For each one:
The client, brand, or type of project
Whether you edited from raw footage or inherited an existing timeline
What you personally handled — story, editing, color, sound, captions, graphics, delivery
Roughly how much raw footage, and the final length
The turnaround time
Any measurable result, if you have it — we know editors often don't
We're checking whether your actual responsibilities match the portfolio you send. Be honest about what was yours and what was the team's; it counts in your favor, not against you.
2. Describe your setup and how you'd handle receiving 100GB+ of footage.
Upload and download speeds, storage, how you'd use proxies, and what a realistic turnaround looks like on your connection. Two or three sentences is plenty.
We'll cover workflow, color pipeline, and creative approach in the interview.
