Lead Google Workspace & AppSheet Specialist (Data & Systems Architect)
Full-Time
Google AppSheet is required. All dashboard reporting in this role is built in Google AppSheet. Experience with other tools such as Looker Studio, Power BI, Tableau, Glide, does not replace it. If you have not built dashboards in AppSheet, this role is not a fit.
Do you build spreadsheets so solid that other people are afraid to touch them? Do you think in QUERY, LAMBDA, and relational data models? Have you shipped AppSheet dashboards that teams use every day? If so, we want to talk to you.
About Us
Service Conversion is a marketing agency that builds websites and generates leads for home services companies in HVAC, plumbing, and electrical. We manage data and reporting across a growing portfolio of client accounts, and we need someone to own that infrastructure end to end.
The Role
You will be the architect and guardian of our clients' Google Workspace data ecosystems. You will build custom Google Sheets models from scratch, turn business goals into automated KPI scorecards, and build all dashboard reporting in Google AppSheet for mobile and desktop.
Building is only half the job. You will also keep these systems accurate and stable long term by managing permissions, setting data entry standards for the team, and running regular audits so every number holds up.
What You'll Do
Build dashboard reporting in Google AppSheet
• Design, deploy, and manage interactive dashboards and business apps in Google AppSheet, powered by Google Sheets backends
• Configure relational data models, user roles, security filters, custom actions, and automated notifications
• Deliver a smooth, near-real-time experience on mobile and desktop
Build production-grade Google Sheets
• Design complex models from scratch, without templates
• Write and optimize advanced formulas such as LAMBDA, LET, QUERY, FILTER, ARRAYFORMULA, and INDEX/MATCH
• Set up data validation, named ranges, and clean architecture that prevents user error and keeps sheets fast
Turn goals into scorecards
• Translate client objectives into measurable, automated KPIs
• Make sure data flows cleanly from daily operational sheets into executive scorecards and AppSheet dashboards
Own accounts and govern the data
• Take full ownership of client Workspace environments, sheet structures, and system stability
• Write clear data entry guidelines for team members who update sheets
• Put locked ranges, role-based protections, and access controls in place
Audit and maintain
• Audit formulas on daily, weekly, monthly, and annual cycles
• Catch calculation lag, broken dependencies, data drift, and reference errors before they cause problems
• Use Google Apps Script to automate maintenance, triggers, custom functions, and API connections
What You Bring
• Required: proven experience building dashboard reporting in Google AppSheet. You have designed, deployed, and maintained AppSheet dashboards on live Google Sheets backends. Other BI or no-code tools do not count toward this requirement.
• 2+ years building production-grade spreadsheets, financial models, or internal tools from scratch in Google Sheets
• Strong Google Apps Script (JavaScript) skills
• A track record of owning client deliverables, managing multi-user access, and auditing team inputs
• Experience modeling and automating operational metrics into scorecards
• Extreme attention to detail and a clear method for auditing formulas across daily, weekly, monthly, YTD, and YoY horizons
Nice to Have
• Experience connecting Sheets or AppSheet to Make, Zapier, Looker Studio, REST APIs, or databases, in addition to AppSheet, not instead of it
• Experience optimizing large datasets to keep calculations fast and within memory limits
How to Apply
Send your resume with the three work samples below. Applications without working samples will not be considered.
1. Google Sheets models built from scratch. Provide view access or sanitized copies that show advanced formulas and automated scorecard design.
2. An AppSheet dashboard you built. Provide a live link, a functional preview, or a screen recording. It must be built in Google AppSheet on a Google Sheets backend. Samples built in other tools will not be accepted.
3. A short case study. Briefly describe how you managed data inputs, permissions, or formula audits in a multi-user or client environment.
