We’re looking for a high-taste graphic designer to work with RevLoft on a project-by-project basis.
This is not a part-time or full-time position right now. Work will be assigned whenever we have design projects, and you’ll be paid based on your hourly rate for the work completed.
As we grow and the volume of design work becomes more consistent, there may be an opportunity to turn this into a part-time or full-time role.
The biggest thing I care about is design taste.
I’m not looking for someone who can simply follow a Canva template. I want someone who has designed genuinely good-looking work before, understands hierarchy, typography, spacing, composition, branding, and can take a reference and make something that feels just as good or better.
A common workflow might be me sending you a design and saying:
“I like the direction/style of this. Can we create something inspired by it for this project?”
You should be able to understand what makes the reference work, then create something original that fits our brand/project rather than simply copying it.
We will always provide the copy/content. Your job is primarily to turn that copy and our briefs into great visual design.
You may work on things such as:
- Image ads for info products, agencies, coaches, SaaS, webinars, etc. (not ecom ads)
- LinkedIn and other social media graphics
- Instagram carousels
- Instagram Story designs
- Landing page graphics and infographics
- Landing page wireframes/mockups — you do not need to code them; our operations team will handle implementation
- Info product / course / digital product mockups
- Webinar and VSL slide decks
- Brand assets and occasional logo work
- Visual concepts for campaigns
- Motion graphics occasionally (this is a plus, not a requirement)
- Other design work that comes up across our agency and client projects
You should be comfortable working from both detailed briefs and loose creative direction.
For example, sometimes we may provide an exact brief with the copy, dimensions, references, and direction. Other times we may give you the copy, show you a few references, explain the objective, and expect you to come up with the visual direction yourself.
Because this is project-based, I’m also looking for someone who is responsive and can generally start projects quickly when work comes in. I’m not expecting you to sit around waiting for us, but turnaround time and communication matter.
To Apply
Start your application with the word “RevLoft.”
(If your application does not start with RevLoft, it will automatically be disqualified)
Then include:
1. Your portfolio / best work
Please don’t just send me a giant generic portfolio. Send me the best and most relevant work you’ve done for the types of designs listed above.
Especially include image ads, social graphics, carousels, landing page designs, infographics, product mockups, or slide decks if you have them.
2. Your desired hourly rate
There is no fixed hourly rate listed for this role. Tell me what hourly rate you would want to charge for this type of work.
3. Your availability
Let me know roughly how many hours you currently have available and how quickly you can normally start a project after receiving a brief.
Hiring Process
If I like your portfolio, I’ll shortlist you and send you a small trial task consisting of 1-2 quick image ad designs.
The trial is mainly to see your actual design taste, how well you interpret a brief/reference, communication, and execution.
If you crush the trial, we’ll start sending you paid design projects as they come in.
Long-term, I’d like to find one designer I can rely on consistently rather than finding someone new every time we need something designed.
