JOB OVERVIEW

Hi! I’m a content creator in the pet/cat entertainment space looking for a reliable video editor to help me expand my content into long-form YouTube.

I already create successful short-form content across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube, and I’m now building out a consistent long-form YouTube strategy.

I’m looking for someone who can take my footage, voiceovers, scripts, and creative direction and turn them into engaging, well-paced YouTube videos.

What you’ll be doing

Most videos will be approximately 8–15 minutes long.

Tasks may include:

* Cutting and organizing raw footage
* Removing pauses, mistakes, and unnecessary sections
* Adding B-roll, photos, screenshots, and other provided assets
* Finding appropriate royalty-free/usable B-roll when needed
* Adding simple text, graphics, zooms, transitions, and sound effects
* Adding background music
* Creating clean, readable captions when appropriate
* Following reference videos and established editing styles
* Keeping videos moving at an engaging YouTube pace
* Organizing project files and assets
* Exporting completed videos according to provided specifications

You do not need to create scripts or appear on camera.

I will provide creative direction, reference videos, scripts/voiceovers when applicable, and feedback.

What I’m looking for

You should:

* Have experience editing YouTube videos
* Have strong English comprehension
* Understand pacing and viewer retention
* Be comfortable editing humorous/entertainment content
* Be able to follow detailed instructions
* Be organized and dependable
* Communicate when you’re unsure rather than guessing
* Be comfortable receiving feedback and making revisions
* Have reliable internet and the ability to work with large video files
* Be interested in a long-term working relationship

Experience with CapCut Desktop, Premiere Pro, or DaVinci Resolve is welcome. Please tell me which software you use.

You do NOT need an expensive computer setup or formal degree. I’m much more interested in your editing instincts, reliability, and ability to learn the style of the channel.

Paid editing test

Finalists will be offered a paid editing test using a short sample of footage.

Everyone completing the test will be paid for the test regardless of whether they are selected.
