ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a reliable, responsive, and highly organized Community & Content Manager with strong Canva skills to manage the day-to-day activity, content, events, and organization of up to five online communities.

This is first and foremost a community management role. You will be responsible for keeping your assigned communities active, organized, visually polished, current, and running smoothly.

Strong Canva skills are a must. You must also be comfortable using Ai effectively and working within GoHighLevel (GHL).

We are having an interview round TODAY the day this is posted, September 19 in California:
Community & Canva Specialist interviews 9:30 – 10:00am Pacifc
----------

If you have community management and Canva skills, come join!

WHAT YOU'LL DO

You may be responsible for up to five communities at the same time.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Manage day-to-day community activity
• Create, schedule, and publish regular community content
• Maintain content and posting calendars
• Create and maintain community event calendar entries, including images, descriptions, dates, times, and links
• Create Canva graphics for posts, announcements, events, webinars, promotions, and other community activities
• Coordinate community events, webinars, and live sessions
• Post event announcements, reminders, and follow-up content
• Keep pinned posts, resources, links, and community information current
• Monitor community activity and respond to routine questions when appropriate
• Escalate questions or issues requiring specialized attention
• Organize graphics, documents, videos, recordings, templates, links, and other community assets
• Create and maintain logical folder structures and naming conventions
• Keep Canva templates and reusable creative assets organized
• Create, maintain, and follow SOPs for recurring community activities
• Create checklists and repeatable workflows where appropriate
• Make basic updates within GoHighLevel
• Use Ai tools for content, research, images, problem-solving, and productivity
• Follow up on open tasks and make sure things do not fall through the cracks
• Provide a clear handoff when something remains open at the end of your shift

CANVA SKILLS ARE REQUIRED

Canva is a significant part of this position.

You should be able to:

• Create polished community and social graphics
• Create event, webinar, announcement, and promotional graphics
• Work efficiently from existing Canva templates and brand guidelines
• Create new layouts when needed
• Resize and adapt creative for different platforms and formats
• Work effectively with photos, logos, backgrounds, typography, and other visual elements
• Maintain the distinct visual identity of multiple communities
• Organize Canva templates and reusable assets
• Recognize when a design looks cluttered, unbalanced, off-brand, low-quality, or obviously Ai-generated

You do not need to be a professional graphic designer, but you do need to be genuinely good at Canva and have strong visual judgment.

USING Ai WELL

We expect you to be comfortable using modern Ai tools as part of your everyday work.

You should know how to use Ai for:

• Drafting and improving community content
• Repurposing existing content
• Research and brainstorming
• Summarizing source material
• Image generation and editing
• Learning unfamiliar tools
• Problem-solving
• Improving the speed and quality of your work

However, copying and pasting generic Ai-generated content is not acceptable.

Final content should:

• Sound natural and human
• Be clear and conversational
• Be specific rather than abstract
• Match the audience and voice of the individual community
• Avoid unnecessary hype and filler
• Avoid repetitive or formulaic Ai phrasing
• Avoid unnecessary em dashes
• Not read like generic Ai-generated content

We sometimes refer to generic, low-quality Ai-generated writing as "Ai slop." We don't want it.

Ai should make you a better and faster Community Manager. It should not replace your judgment, writing ability, creativity, or understanding of the audience.

CONTENT & EVENT MANAGEMENT

You will be responsible for keeping content and events organized across your assigned communities.

For a typical event, you should be capable of owning the complete workflow:

Event Confirmed → Calendar Entry Created → Graphic Created → Announcement Posted → Reminders Scheduled → Event Supported → Follow-Up Posted

This may include:

• Confirming dates and times
• Creating calendar entries
• Writing event descriptions
• Adding registration, meeting, or webinar links
• Creating Canva graphics
• Publishing announcements
• Scheduling reminders
• Coordinating with hosts and team members
• Making sure required materials are ready
• Supporting event execution
• Publishing recordings, resources, or follow-up content

You should recognize the steps required to successfully execute an event rather than waiting for someone to assign every individual task.

ORGANIZATION & SOP OWNERSHIP

Organization is a major part of this role.

You are not simply expected to locate files, graphics, templates, and other assets. You are expected to create and maintain the organizational structure that makes those things easy for everyone to find and use.

You will:

• Organize graphics, documents, videos, recordings, links, templates, and other digital assets
• Create and maintain logical folder structures
• Establish and follow clear naming conventions
• Keep Canva templates and brand assets organized
• Maintain content and event calendars
• Maintain commonly used links, resources, and reference materials
• Create SOPs for recurring responsibilities
• Follow existing SOPs consistently
• Update SOPs as processes change
• Create checklists for repeatable activities
• Identify recurring activities that should become documented processes
• Keep documentation current enough that another team member could step in and understand what to do

Your communities and their supporting assets should stay organized because you manage them, not because someone else periodically has to clean them up.

GOHIGHLEVEL

You should have working familiarity with GoHighLevel or be capable of becoming productive in it quickly.

Depending on the community, you may be asked to:

• Work within GHL Communities
• Update calendars and events
• Make basic changes to pages or funnels
• Update text, images, links, buttons, or forms
• Work with contacts and other basic GHL functionality
• Follow established GHL workflows and SOPs

We are not hiring a GHL developer. We are looking for a Community Manager who is comfortable operating inside GHL.

RESPONSIVENESS & OWNERSHIP

During your assigned coverage hours, you must be reachable and responsive.

When a request comes in:

Request Received → Acknowledge → Investigate → Handle → Verify → Confirm → Escalate/Handoff if Needed

If you do not immediately know how to accomplish something, investigate it. Use Ai. Review the SOP. Try to solve it.

If something requires specialized expertise or authority you do not have, escalate rather than guess.

During quieter periods, proactively review:

• Your assigned communities
• Upcoming content and posts
• Content calendars
• Upcoming events
• Graphics that need to be prepared
• Calendar accuracy
• Outdated information
• Unanswered questions
• Open tasks and follow-ups
• Asset and folder organization
• SOPs and documentation that need to be created or updated

The role is non-exclusive. You may work with other clients or projects as long as they do not interfere with your responsibilities or responsiveness during assigned coverage hours.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

We're looking for someone who has:

• Community management experience
• Strong Canva skills
• Strong practical Ai skills
• Working familiarity with GoHighLevel or the ability to learn it quickly
• Strong writing and editing ability
• The ability to recognize and remove poor-quality Ai writing
• Experience managing content calendars
• Experience coordinating online events or webinars
• Strong organizational skills
• Experience organizing digital assets
• Experience creating, maintaining, and following SOPs
• Strong attention to detail
• Good visual judgment
• Strong written communication
• Reliability and responsiveness
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to manage multiple communities without mixing up their brands, audiences, assets, or schedules
• Good judgment about when to solve something independently and when to escalate

APPLICATION QUESTIONS

Please answer all questions clearly in your application:

1. What online communities have you managed, and what were your responsibilities?
2. How many communities or brands have you managed simultaneously?
3. Describe your Canva experience and provide examples of graphics you personally created.
4. Which Ai tools do you regularly use, and how do you use them?
5. How do you prevent Ai-assisted content from sounding generic or obviously Ai-generated?
6. What experience do you have with GoHighLevel?
7. What experience do you have managing content and event calendars?
8. What experience do you have coordinating webinars or online events?
9. How have you organized digital assets, templates, content, or files for a team?
10. Have you created or maintained SOPs? Please provide an example.
11. Are you willing to record short-form videos about various topics, products, and services?
12. Once you have demonstrated that you are effective with short-form video, are you willing to run approximately 45-minute webinars that we have prepared and trained you to deliver?
13. Are you flexible with your schedule and available for a 5-day coverage schedule, including weekends if needed?
14. How soon can you start?

7-DAY EVALUATION PERIOD

All selected candidates will begin with a 7-day evaluation period.

During this period, we will evaluate:

• Community management ability
• Canva capability and visual judgment
• Content quality
• Ability to use Ai without producing generic Ai content
• GHL capability
• Ability to manage multiple communities
• Content and event calendar management
• Event coordination
• Organization
• SOP creation and adherence
• Reliability and responsiveness
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Proactivity and follow-through
• Communication
• Independent problem-solving
• Judgment about when to handle something and when to escalate

Candidates who successfully demonstrate these capabilities may be offered the opportunity to continue with the team long-term.

THE RIGHT PERSON FOR THIS ROLE

You are a Community Manager first, but you bring a broader skill set than a traditional Community Manager.

You can manage the community, write the post, create the Canva graphic, add the event to the calendar, organize the assets, coordinate the webinar, use Ai intelligently, make a basic GHL update, document the process, and make sure the details don't get missed.

If you are a strong Community Manager who is genuinely good at Canva, comfortable with Ai and GHL, highly organized, responsive, and able to manage multiple communities, we'd like to hear from you.
