JOB OVERVIEW

I’m looking for an experienced video editor to edit videos for a history commentary channel.

The editing style is fast-paced, highly visual and engaging. This is not a basic cut-and-subtitle editing job. You’ll need experience creating dynamic edits that keep viewers engaged throughout the video.

Main responsibilities:

Edit short-form history commentary videos
Add keyframe-based animations and movement
Create animated popups, labels and callouts
Animate images, maps, screenshots and historical documents
Use zooms, pans and transitions effectively
Add sound effects and music at appropriate moments
Create visual emphasis around important points
Sync visuals and animations closely with the narration
Find suitable visual assets when required
Maintain a consistent editing style across videos

Required experience:

Strong experience with keyframes
Motion graphics and animation
Animated text and popups
Dynamic zooms and camera movements
Good pacing and storytelling
Strong understanding of Tiktok editing
Experience editing commentary, documentary or educational content is preferred

I’m looking for someone who pays close attention to detail and understands how to turn narration into engaging visuals.
