Product Specialist:
We are seeking a highly analytical, commercially minded Product Specialist to support the development, structuring, and commercialization of financial and transaction-oriented products.
The Product Specialist will be responsible for helping the company identify opportunities, develop new financial products and transaction structures, and transform those concepts into products that can ultimately be presented and offered to clients. This may include instruments such as bonds, promissory notes, structured agreements, and other financial or asset-backed products, subject to applicable laws, regulations, and internal approval requirements.
This position sits at the intersection of product development, finance, transactions, business development, and strategic operations. The ideal candidate should be comfortable taking an idea, understanding the underlying economic or commercial opportunity, working with stakeholders to refine the structure, and helping turn the concept into a clearly defined product.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and refine financial and transaction-oriented products based on identified market and client opportunities.
Research and analyze potential structures involving financial instruments, assets, commodities, contractual rights, and other forms of value.
Work directly with shareholders, stakeholders, management, and internal teams to understand objectives and develop commercially viable product concepts.
Collaborate with the Managing Partner on the development, review, and strategic direction of new products.
Work closely with Business Developers to understand client demand and determine how products can be positioned and introduced to prospective clients.
Translate complex financial or transactional concepts into clear product structures, documentation requirements, and internal processes.
Identify potential gaps, inefficiencies, or opportunities within existing transaction structures and propose new solutions.
Maintain organized product-development records, including product concepts, assumptions, structures, requirements, risks, and development status.
Participate in meetings and discussions with stakeholders to gather information, challenge assumptions, and improve proposed products.
Assist in preparing product summaries, transaction frameworks, presentations, and other materials necessary for internal review and client discussions.
Monitor the development lifecycle of products from initial concept through internal approval, commercialization, and implementation.
Coordinate with relevant legal, compliance, financial, and operational professionals when specialized review is required.
Day-to-Day:
On a typical day, the Product Specialist may move between developing a new product concept, speaking with stakeholders, reviewing a proposed transaction, working with the Managing Partner, and collaborating with Business Developers to understand what clients are looking for.
The role requires someone who can think beyond individual transactions and ask:
What can we build from this opportunity? How can it be structured? Who would use it? How does it create value? What information and approvals are required? And how can the concept be turned into a repeatable product?
The successful candidate will therefore play an important role in building the company's product ecosystem and helping transform strategic ideas into structured, commercially usable solutions.
Ideal Candidate:
We are looking for someone who is:
Analytical and highly detail-oriented
Comfortable working with financial and transactional concepts
Naturally curious and capable of developing new ideas
Strong in written and verbal communication
Comfortable speaking with senior stakeholders
Able to work directly with executives and business-development professionals
Capable of researching unfamiliar subjects and learning quickly
Commercially minded and focused on practical solutions
Comfortable operating in an environment where products are continuously being developed and refined
Able to recognize opportunities and turn them into structured concepts
The Product Specialist is expected to contribute intellectually to the development of the company's products, understand the commercial purpose behind each structure, and work collaboratively to move concepts from idea → structure → review → product → client opportunity.
