JOB OVERVIEW

Hello!

I am looking for a smart, resourceful researcher for a short-term property search project, expected to last approximately 2–3 weeks. This will be for a one-time property search project in Central Luzon, initially concentrating on western Tarlac and the foothill areas around San Clemente, Mayantoc and San Jose.

This is not a typical real-estate listing search...

I am looking for secluded, long-term rental possibilities (1 year+) in beautiful rural or foothill surroundings. The ideal property may be a farmhouse, rest house, private rural home, caretaker property, or another type of residence that may not even currently be advertised for rent.

Privacy and surroundings are substantially more important to me than luxury.

A beautiful modern house surrounded by neighboring homes is NOT a good candidate. A simple, comfortable house surrounded by open land, farms, trees or mountains with significant separation from neighboring residences could be an excellent candidate.

Properties like this are unlikely to be found through traditional rental searches alone. We will unlikely find this home on Marketplace. I am therefore looking for someone who is:

- Resourceful and persistent
- A strong online researcher
- Comfortable using Google Maps and satellite imagery
- Able to communicate confidently with Filipino home owners, agents, etc. by cold messages or cold phone calls
- Capable of working independently without needing every research step explained
- Willing to think beyond normal property websites and rental listings

Knowledge of Tarlac, Central Luzon, rural property, agriculture, local real estate or local Facebook communities would be especially useful, but is not required.

This is a single fixed-price project, not an ongoing hourly position. If the project is successful, there may be opportunities for separate property-search projects in other areas later.

- ** Most importantly:** Imagine that normal rental websites and Facebook Marketplace are mostly showing houses in subdivisions and populated neighborhoods, but your client wants something genuinely secluded in rural western Tarlac. How would you approach finding possibilities that other people might miss?

There is no single correct answer to #4. I am interested in understanding how you think and how you approach a difficult search.
