We are hiring an experienced Personal Injury Case Manager to help manage California pre-litigation cases from intake through settlement.
This is not a basic administrative VA position.
We are looking for someone who understands how a personal injury case actually moves, can independently manage the operational side of a case, and knows when an issue needs to be escalated to an attorney.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
You will help manage the full lifecycle of pre-litigation personal injury cases, including:
Case opening and client onboarding
Liability investigation
Police reports and Traffic Collision Reports
Insurance and policy-limit investigations
BI, UM/UIM, MedPay, and property damage claims
Client communication and regular case updates
Medical treatment tracking
Medical records and billing follow-up
Tracking specialists, imaging, injections, surgeries, and future treatment recommendations
Identifying treatment gaps and missing documentation
Health insurance, Medi-Cal, Medicare, and lien tracking
Wage-loss and damages documentation
Monitoring statutes, deadlines, and demand timelines
Preparing cases for demand
Reviewing files for missing records, bills, evidence, or coverage
Tracking settlement offers and negotiations
Settlement and lien-resolution support
Maintaining accurate and organized CRM records
What We’re Looking For
We want someone who can look at a case and immediately ask:
What is the liability situation?
What insurance coverage is available?
Are there additional policies or defendants?
Is there UM/UIM or MedPay?
Are there multiple claimants?
Is the client's treatment progressing appropriately?
Are records and bills complete?
Are there liens or reimbursement issues?
What evidence are we still missing?
Is the case demand-ready?
Is there a deadline or issue the attorney needs to know about?
You should be able to manage a file proactively instead of waiting for instructions for every task.
Required Experience
You should have prior experience working with a U.S. personal injury law firm, preferably handling California cases.
Strong candidates will already understand concepts such as:
Pre-litigation personal injury workflow
Bodily Injury insurance
UM/UIM
MedPay
Per-person and per-a
Policy-limits demands
Liability investigation
Medical records and billing
Treatment timelines
Medical liens
Demand preparation
Settlement documentation
Statute and deadline tracking
You do not need to give legal or medical advice. Legal strategy, settlement authority, and medical decisions remain with attorneys and licensed healthcare providers.
What we need is someone who knows how to identify issues, organize the evidence, keep the case moving, and escalate matters appropriately.
The Type of Person Who Will Succeed Here
You are:
Extremely organized
Detail-oriented
Proactive
Comfortable handling multiple active cases
Strong in written and spoken English
Confident communicating with clients, insurance adjusters, medical providers, and attorneys
Able to work independently
Comfortable being held accountable for deadlines and case progress
Someone who investigates instead of assuming
Someone who documents everything
We value people who can tell an attorney:
“Here are the verified facts, here is what we are missing, here is the deadline, and here is what needs your decision.”
Schedule
This is a full-time remote position working primarily during California business hours.
Applicants must have:
Reliable computer
Stable high-speed internet
Quiet professional workspace
Reliable backup internet or contingency plan
How to Apply
Please send the following:
Your resume
A vocaroo recording that tackes the following:

How many PI cases you have managed at one time
Which states you have handled PI cases in
Your experience with BI, UM/UIM, MedPay, demands, medical records, and liens

We are looking for someone who does more than complete tasks.
We are looking for someone who can take ownership of a case, understand what is happening, anticipate what is missing, and help move it toward resolution.
