JOB OVERVIEW

Soundwave Renovations LLC is seeking an experienced Advanced Bookkeeper / Accounting Specialist to take ownership of our day-to-day bookkeeping and financial administration.

This position requires strong QuickBooks Online experience and formal QuickBooks training and/or certifications. This is not an entry-level position, and QuickBooks training will not be provided.

We are looking for someone who can step into the role, learn our company processes, and independently manage the accounting workflow for an active renovation and construction company.

Primary Responsibilities Include:

• Manage and process payroll
• Enter, review, and track vendor bills and expenses
• Create and send customer invoices
• Track outstanding invoices and assist with payment collections
• Maintain accurate receipt tracking and documentation
• Reconcile bank and credit card accounts
• Track ACH payments, wire transfers, checks, and other payments
• Assist with construction job costing and profitability tracking
• Properly allocate labor, materials, subcontractors, and other expenses to individual jobs
• Help maintain accurate customer and vendor records
• Review transactions and correct coding or accounting discrepancies
• Assist with estimates, change orders, invoices, and project-related financial documentation
• Track deposits and payments associated with individual renovation projects
• Maintain organized digital accounting records and supporting documentation
• Assist management with financial reports and accounting questions
• Follow up on missing receipts, invoices, payments, and documentation
• Help improve accounting processes and internal controls
• Perform additional accounting and administrative tasks as needed

Required Qualifications:
• Advanced experience with QuickBooks Online
• QuickBooks training, certification, or equivalent demonstrated expertise
• Strong understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles
• Experience with accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Payroll experience
• Bank and credit card reconciliation experience
• STRONGEST attention to detail and HIGHEST level of accuracy
• Ability to independently research and resolve discrepancies
• Excellent organizational and follow-through skills
• Comfortable working with multiple projects, vendors, subcontractors, and customers simultaneously
• Able to work independently without extensive supervision
• Able to meet deadlines including daily, weekly and monthly deadlines
• Strong Computer Skills: Typing 60+ WPM, G-Suite, Microsoft Excel, We Browsers and Basic Online Functions, GPT Savvy

Strongly Preferred:
• Construction, renovation, contracting, or trades-industry bookkeeping experience
• Experience with construction job costing
• Experience tracking labor, materials, subcontractors, and profitability by project
• QuickBooks ProAdvisor certification or similar QuickBooks credentials

⚠️ PLEASE NOTE:
This position requires an experienced QuickBooks user. We will provide training on Soundwave Renovations' internal procedures, but we will not provide training on QuickBooks or basic bookkeeping/accounting functions.

We need someone who can look at our books and financial processes, recognize when something is incorrect, and take the initiative to get it corrected. Being a Self-Started is a must.
