Immediate Opportunity: 1 wedding currently, 20-30 weddings next year

Position Overview:
We're seeking a reliable, long-term video editor to handle wedding story driven films. These are 6-8 min films recapping the full wedding experience that capture all major wedding events from first look to sparkler exit. The editing style is clean with a focus on story and emotionally moving audio rather than lots of fancy transitions.

Exciting, emotional, tangle, and real. We want the atmosphere to shine, the vibe of the day and more than just pretty shots of a couple in slow motion. We want our couples to feel something, to connect with moments, and to see a full story of the day, many parts that they were not physically in or didn’t see from that angle during the day. Each story is different but here are a couple looks that we would be going for depending on the couple and the footage captured.

Technical Requirements:

Computer capable of editing 4K footage smoothly
High-speed internet for large file transfers
Software: Davinic Resolve preferred for efficiency and to share project files in case we need to make a final adjustment ourselves
Strong English comprehension (you'll be editing speeches, vows, and ceremonies in English)

Timeline:
First Draft: Due 2-3 weeks after footage is uploaded
Final Delivery Due 5 weeks after initial footage is uploaded

File sharing - done through Dropbox (We pay for this service)
Reviewing and Feedback - done through Frame Io (We pay for this service)

Revisions: Two rounds included, additional revisions at hourly rate

Communication & Schedule:
My availability: 5:30 PM - 9:00 AM PST (5:30 AM - 9:00 PM EST), you can message me whenever but I likely will not reply until this time window.
We value clear, consistent communication throughout projects
Regular check-ins to ensure we're aligned on quality and timeline

Growth Opportunities:
After establishing a strong working relationship with story driven films, there may be opportunities to edit other projects at the editors interest.
