JOB OVERVIEW

Sola Kids Dental & Orthodontics | Remote

Location: Remote
Schedule: Full-time (40 hours/week)
Reports to: ROC Team Leader

About the role

Sola Kids Dental & Orthodontics is growing, and we're looking for a detail-driven team member focused on insurance accuracy and collections. As part of our ROC team, you’ll be the Office Manager’s behind-the-scenes partner—helping maximize collections, maintain accurate accounts, and make sure nothing slips through the cracks. This seat is dedicated to PPO and Denti-Cal breakdowns and payment posting, so every claim is billed right, every payment lands in the right place, and balances always make sense.

What you'll own

Building accurate PPO insurance breakdowns in Open Dental so the office bills correctly the first time
Posting PPO insurance payments (EOBs/ERAs) quickly and accurately
Handling Denti-Cal (Medi-Cal Dental) breakdowns and postings alongside PPO
Posting ---------- payments and keeping payment records clean
Uploading and attaching supporting documentation to the correct patient charts and claims
Auditing balances and claims proactively so errors are caught early, not "fixed later"
Double-checking Denti-Cal and PPO policies to avoid denials and appeals
Other PPO insurance breakdown and posting tasks as needed
What good looks like

Audit & Bill Daily: Billing is accurate and consistent, claims are correct, balances make sense, and errors are caught early.
Ensure Schedule & Record Accuracy: Extreme attention to detail. Everything is entered correctly and readable for the office.
Dedicated to the Office: Strong ownership mindset. You keep a running task list, close loops with confirmation, and take work off the manager's plate.
Yield Maximum Production: Fewer billing mistakes, fewer surprises, and no production left on the table.

Who you are

Experience with dental insurance breakdowns and payment posting (PPO required, Denti-Cal/Medi-Cal a strong plus)
Comfortable in Open Dental (or able to ramp quickly), plus tools like ----------
Extremely detail-oriented and organized, with a "nothing slips through the cracks" mindset
Proactive and dependable in a remote setting: you close loops and confirm your work
A dental nerd at heart who wants to understand not just the "what" but the "why" behind our policies
