Position: Social Media Manager

About the Job

Porchlight Media is looking for a creative and motivated Social Media Manager to manage and grow our social media account.

We are a real estate media company that creates professional photography, video, drone, reels, and other marketing content for real estate agents.

You will have access to a large amount of professional real estate media. Your job is to turn that media into interesting content, grow our audience, build relationships with real estate professionals, and help generate new clients.

We are looking for someone who can bring their own ideas and does not need to be told exactly what to post every day.

Main Responsibilities
Manage Porchlight Media's social media accounts.
Plan and create posts, Reels, Stories, carousels, and other content.
Use our existing property photos and videos to create new content.
Recut and repurpose existing videos into new Reels and short-form content.
Create original content and come up with new ideas regularly.
Write captions, hooks, and calls to action.
Research current social media trends and find ways to use them for our business.
Maintain a consistent posting schedule.
Help grow our followers and increase engagement.
Respond to comments and messages.
Engage with real estate agents, brokerages, builders, designers, and other potential clients.
Find potential new clients through social media.
Reach out to potential clients through DMs and start conversations.
Help turn social media conversations into qualified leads for the business.
Track which posts perform best and use that information to improve future content.
Keep our social media professional, active, creative, and consistent.
What We Are Looking For
Experience managing business social media accounts.
Strong knowledge of Instagram and short-form video.
Good video editing and content creation skills.
Experience with programs such as CapCut, Adobe, Canva, or similar tools.
Good written English.
Creative and able to come up with ideas independently.
Understands social media trends, hooks, and what makes people stop scrolling.
Comfortable communicating with potential clients.
Able to work independently and stay organized.
Experience with real estate, photography, video, or real estate marketing is a big bonus.
Main Goals

This position has three main goals:

Create great content. Grow our audience. Generate new business.

We do not want someone who only schedules posts.

We want someone who actively looks for opportunities to improve our social media, creates new ideas from the media we already have, engages with our target audience, and helps turn our online presence into new relationships and clients.
