JOB OVERVIEW

Coat of Colour is a Tampa, Florida custom apparel company. We build made-to-measure graduation blazer programs for schools and universities, staff uniform programs for hotels and organizations, and custom suiting for individual clients. We are a certified minority-owned business and have delivered 300+ garments for a single multi-year university program.

What the job actually is:
You spend your mornings on the phone with schools, universities, hotels, and churches, finding the one person who d ---------- what their people wear. Sometimes that is a dean. Sometimes it is a hotel GM or an HR manager. You get past the front desk, find out whether there is a real need, and put a call on my calendar.

You are not selling suits. I close. Your job is to open the door and make sure the conversations that reach me are worth having.

A good week looks like this:
You are making somewhere between 60 and 100 dials a shift from a list we give you, and adding to that list as you go, tracking down the right name, title, direct line, and email. You book appointments with enough notes that I know before I dial who they are, what they need, how many people it covers, when they need it, and whether this person can actually sign. You follow up so people show up. You log everything. At the end of the day you send a short note: how many dials, how many conversations, how many appointments, and what objections you kept running into.

What you need to bring:
Spoken English that sounds easy and clear on the phone, because you will be talking to deans and hotel managers, not filling out forms. (Preferred) At least a year of B2B cold calling or appointment setting for US clients. Comfort with being told no and calling the next number anyway.

On the technical side: reliable internet, a quiet room, and availability during US Eastern business hours. You should be comfortable in Google Workspace, a CRM, and spreadsheets.

Helpful but not required: apparel, uniform, hospitality, or education sales experience, email copywriting, or any familiarity with supplier diversity or government procurement.

Hours and pay:
We start at 20 hours a week, 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM US Eastern, and move to full time once the calls are producing. Base pay, plus $25 for every qualified appointment that actually happens, plus a bonus when a contract closes from one of your appointments. Paid every two weeks. The first 30 days are a paid trial for both of us, and I am looking for someone who stays for years, not months.

How to apply:
Record 60 to 90 seconds of audio. Introduce yourself, then read this like the front desk at a college just picked up: "Hi, this is [your name] calling from Coat of Colour in Tampa. We run custom graduation blazer programs for colleges. Who handles that for your graduating class?"

Then tell me, in your own words: where you were calling most recently, what your usual dials per day and appointments per week looked like, and what you say when someone tells you to just send an email.
