?SUMMARY
We need a creative designer for Q4 — and beyond.
We test a lot of products fast. Every product that comes to you is already researched, sourced and listed. Your job is to make it sell visually, and you deliver two things per product:
1. The product page image set — the product page gallery a visitor scrolls through.
2. A batch of static ads — 3 to 6 image ads, each with a different hook, built to stop a scroll in the
*Page images explain to someone already interested.
*Ads have to earn the click from a stranger without clickbaiting.
This is a design role with a copywriting half. You get a market research document and approved page copy for every product, and you write the short copy that goes on the images yourself — the headline, the benefit line, the feature line. We're not asking you to write the product page. We are asking you to pull the right desire out of a research doc and say it in eight words on an image.
You don't edit video — we have someone for that.
? Why This Q4 Matters
We donate a percentage of this store's profit to a charity that gets Christmas gifts to kids whose parents can't afford them. It's why we care that the work is done properly and fast.
? What We're Looking For
✦ A lot of experience designing e-commerce product images and static ads — this is the core of the role.
✦ Strong Canva skills. You work inside an existing brand template without breaking it
✦ You can write the copy that goes on your designs — headlines, benefit lines, hooks, in the customer's words
✦ You can read a market research document and find the desire that actually makes someone buy
✦ You mastered AI generative tools
✦ Mobile first, and fast. 99% of our traffic is on a phone, and Q4 is a volume season
? Tools You'll Work In Daily
✦ Canva (our brand templates live there)
✦ Higgsfield for AI tools
✦ Google Drive — research documents, source material and deliverables
✦
✦ Google Sheets — our product tracker
✦
? Your Main Tasks
✦ Read the research and the live product page, then d
✦ Write the image copy: main benefit, supporting feature, a different hook per ad
✦ Build the product page image set in our Canva template
✦ Build the static ad batch
✦ Source and improve the visuals with AI, generating new product-in-use shots where nothing usable exists
✦ Deliver into our folders, process feedback into new versions, and log what you built
? What You Get From Us
A written step-by-step SOP with screenshots covering every phase of this role — the template structure, the copy hierarchy on each image, the naming conventions, the review process. You are not guessing what "done" means. A full market research document and approved page copy come with every product, so you always know who the buyer is and what they want before you write a word. The first product is done together with us.
? Pay
✦ Hourly — rate discussed on application. No maximum hours: research runs constantly, so the list refills constantly. The limit is how much you can process accurately.
⏱ Timeline
✦ Starting this week. Q4 is the whole point — we can't start this in November.
? What's Next
✦ Short-term for Q4 to start, with a real chance of ongoing work into 2027 if the work is strong. Designers who prove themselves here get first pick of the next season.
? How to Apply
1. Start your proposal with the word CANVA so we know you read this.
2. Send us two things: a product page image set you designed, and a static ad you designed. Tell us in one line what the goal of each was — and confirm whether you wrote the copy on them yourself.
3. Record a 60–90 second Loom: who you are, and how you mastered this skill.
4. Answer this questions in your proposal. Short answers, no essays:
A) The only usable photo of a product is a blurry screenshot from a competitor's video. Walk us through what you actually do to get a usable image out of it.
5. Which AI image tool have you used, and what did you use it for?
⚠️ Only apply if you can show real product page images and static ads you designed yourself, and you're comfortable writing the copy that goes on them. We're not training from zero on design. Applications without the Loom and without the questions answered are not reviewed.
