?SUMMARY
We need a Shopify product lister for Q4 — and beyond.
Products arrive already researched and sourced. You turn each one into a finished product page: import it, clean the imported mess, price it from our cost figure, build the specs, set the variants, assign our page template, configure the backend, set up reviews, and QA it on your phone before it goes live. Then you log it in our Google Sheet so the next person can pick it up.
You don't write copy and you don't make images — we have people for both.
? Why This Q4 Matters
We donate a percentage of this season's profit to a charity that gets Christmas gifts to kids whose parents can't afford them. More products live and converting means more gifts. You won't feel that in every spreadsheet row, but it's why we care that the work is done properly instead of fast and sloppy.
? What We're Looking For
✦ You have built real Shopify product pages before — send links to pages you built (proof of work)
✦ You know your way around the Shopify theme editor: duplicating templates, assigning them, placing sections
✦ You have imported products with an importer app and cleaned up the mess it leaves behind
✦ You have handled product reviews before — bulk import, not one at a time
✦ You know landed cost, markup and margin. You never price a product without knowing what it costs us
✦ Strong written US English — you're not writing copy, you're fixing broken imported text and formatting it
✦ Mobile first. 99% of our visitors arrive from Instagram and
✦ You work fast without getting sloppy. Q4 is a volume season, and a rushed page costs us more than a slow one
✦ Reliable and organized — we should not have to double-check your work
✦ You follow a written SOP exactly, and you tell us when a step in it is wrong so we can fix it
? Tools You'll Work In Daily
✦ Shopify admin + theme editor
✦ A product import app
✦ A review import app
✦ Google Sheets (our product tracker) and Google Drive
✦ AI assistant for conversions and formatting
✦ Group chat for daily communication
? Your Main Tasks
✦ Import the product and strip everything unusable — leftover branding, broken characters, non-English text, claims we can't back
✦ Price it from our cost figure using our markup and discount rules, then get the price approved
✦ Build the page to the SOP: specs, "what's in the box", US units (inches / oz / lbs)
✦ Set up variants — right image per variant, no duplicates, short list
✦ Duplicate and assign our page template, then log the link
✦ Configure the backend: inventory, tax, sales channels, handle, SEO, product status
✦ Set up the product reviews and place the review widget
✦ QA the live page on your own phone — variants, buttons, cart, upsells, checkout
✦ Log every product in our sheet and move it to the next status so the rest of the team knows it's their turn
? What You Get From Us
A written step-by-step SOP with screenshots for every phase of this job, including our pricing rules, our backend settings and our review process. You are not guessing what "done" means — it is written down. The first products are done together with us so you get our standards in your hands, then you run on your own.
? Pay
Hourly. We don't post a fixed rate because it depends on your experience and speed — tell us your hourly rate in your proposal and we'll discuss it on the interview call. Quote what you actually want to work for; we'd rather agree on a fair number once than renegotiate in November.
No maximum hours. Our researcher is sourcing products constantly, so the list refills faster than it empties. The limit is how many products you can finish properly per day, not how much work exists.
⏱ Timeline
Starting this week. Q4 is the whole point — we can't start this in November.
? What's Next
Short-term for Q4 to start, with a real chance of ongoing work into 2027 if the work is strong. The people who do this well become the people we build the next season around.
? How to Apply
1. Start your proposal with the word LISTED so we know you read this.
2. Send links to 2 live Shopify product pages you built yourself, and tell us in one line what you were responsible for on each.
3. Record a 60–90 second Loom: who you are, and walk us through one product page you built — including what you would fix on it today. No script, phone audio is fine.
4. Answer these three questions in your proposal. Short answers, no essays:
A) A product imports with 14 variants. Half have no image and the names look like "Red-L-2pcs-CN". What do you do before this page goes live, and what do you delete entirely?
B) Say a product costs $8.50 landed. What do you sell it for, what compare-at price do you put next to it, and why that compare-at and not a higher one?
C) The page looks perfect on desktop. Name the first three things you check on your phone — and one thing you have personally seen break on mobile that looked fine on desktop.
5. Which import app and which review app have you worked with before?
6. Your hourly rate and how many hours per week you can commit.
Shortlisted applicants get one paid test product — build it end to end, paid, and it d
⚠️ Only apply if you can show real proof of work on Shopify product pages. We're not training from zero on Shopify. Applications without the Loom and without the questions answered are not reviewed.
