JOB OVERVIEW

? SUMMARY
We run a Q4 e-commerce operation selling Christmas gift products for kids. Our product researcher finds potential winning products every day and drops the competitor profiles in our group chat. We need someone to turn that stream into clean, complete, decision-ready rows in a Google Sheet, so the owner can review the data and pick what we test.

*You are NOT finding products and you are NOT d ---------- what we sell. The owner does both. You own everything in between: the competitor research, the data, and the quality of the sheet.

? Why This Q4 Matters
We donate a percentage of our Q4 profit to a charity that buys Christmas gifts for kids whose parents cannot afford them. The more products we test successfully, the more gifts that becomes. Nothing gets tested unless the research behind it is solid — that is your part.

? What We're Looking For

✦ Proven data entry or research VA experience in Google Sheets (send proof of work — a sheet you built or maintained)
✦ Real online research skill — you can find a brand's product page, their best-performing content and its exact view count, and a rough supplier cost on Alibaba/AliExpress without hand-holding
✦ Obsessive attention to detail — our score formula reads cells literally, so "maybe" instead of "no", or 1.7M instead of ---------- , breaks the row
✦ Commercial judgement — you can answer "would a grandparent buy this for a kid at Christmas?" without a rulebook for every case
✦ Consistency over speed — you notice when a row contradicts the 40 rows above it
✦ Reliable and organized — we shouldn't have to double-check your work
✦ Bonus: e-com/dropshipping VA background, Alibaba price-checking, using AI (ChatGPT/Claude) to check category consistency and catch near-duplicates

? Your Main Tasks

✦ Research each shared competitor profile and log it as one complete row
✦ Spot duplicates before they enter the sheet
✦ Keep category naming identical across the whole sheet
✦ Verify the product is real, not a fake or AI-generated listing
✦ Flag each batch as ready for the owner's review
✦ Move approved rows to our second tab and build each product's Google Drive folder structure to our naming convention
✦ Communicate daily through ----------

? Tools
✦ Google Sheets
✦ Google Drive
✦ WhatsApp
----------
✦ Instagram
✦ TikTok
✦ Alibaba/AliExpress
✦ AI assistant of your choice.

? What You Get From Us
✦ A full written SOP with screenshots, a column-by-column guide, examples of right and wrong entries, and a pre-handover checklist. Explicit expectations from day one, not vague feedback in month two.
✦ Direct feedback — if a batch has errors we point at the exact cells, and we expect the same directness back.

*We want a builder, not a filler. A filler does the rows and stops. A builder spots a gap in our SOP, tells us, and the next version is better because of them. That person gets kept.

? Pay
✦ Hourly — rate discussed on application. No maximum hours: research runs constantly, so the list refills constantly. The limit is how much you can process accurately.

⏱ Timeline
✦ Needed ASAP, starting this week.
✦ Q4 project, roughly 2–3 months, winding down mid-December.

? What's Next?
✦ We run this same Q4 operation next year starting in Q1 throughout 2027 for general products.
✦ We'd far rather keep someone who already knows the process than retrain a stranger.

? How to Apply

1. Start with the word "GIFT" so we know you read this.
2. Send a 60–90 second Loom: who you are, and one example of detail-heavy research or data work you've done. No script needed. Just being yourself is more than enough.
3. Answer these questions:
✦ "Tell me about a time your data was wrong and someone caught it. What happened?"
✦ "A cell needs yes or no, and you genuinely can't d ---------- . What do you do?"
✦ "What was the most tedious part of your last data job?"

Shortlisted applicants get a paid test task of 3–5 products. Under an hour, paid, and it d ---------- the hire.

⚠️ Only apply if you can show real proof of work in spreadsheet data entry or online research. Applications without the Loom and without an answers to the 3 questions are not reviewed.
