JOB OVERVIEW

We are looking for an experienced Accountant/Bookkeeper to work remotely from home for an Australian client.

The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience with Xero and Banktivity and is comfortable working independently in a remote setup.

? IMPORTANT: You must have an Apple Mac laptop/computer, as Banktivity is Mac-based.

Requirements:
Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience using both Xero and Banktivity
Previous experience working with Australian clients/businesses
Strong accounting/bookkeeping background
Experience with bank reconciliation and transaction categorization
Knowledge of accounts payable/receivable, bills, expenses, and cash flow
Ability to review and organize existing financial records
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Able to identify discrepancies and follow up on missing or incorrect transactions
Familiarity with Australian bookkeeping/accounting practices
Good written and verbal English communication skills
Reliable, organized, and responsive
Able to work independently with minimal supervision
Comfortable handling confidential financial information
Must have a reliable internet connection and backup connection/power source
Must have a suitable home-based workspace
Must be available for the initial 2-week full-time period

100% Remote / Work From Home
First 2 weeks: Full-time
After the initial 2 weeks: Part-time ongoing
Working hours and schedule will be discussed with the successful candidate

Initial Responsibilities:
Review and organize existing Xero and Banktivity records
Reconcile bank transactions
Check and categorize income and expenses
Review outstanding bills and payments
Identify and correct discrepancies
Ensure financial records are accurate and up to date
Prepare financial reports and summaries
Assist with cash-flow and bill tracking
Maintain accurate and organized financial records
