Controller
Pure Dental Spa & Chicago Dental Specialists
Pure Dental Spa and Chicago Dental Specialists are growing — and growth creates opportunity.
We are a fast-paced, systems-driven dental organization focused on building something bigger than just dental offices. We create opportunities for people, develop leaders, and are committed to delivering the most comfortable dental experience possible.
As our organization continues to expand, we are looking for a highly capable, detail-oriented, and analytical Virtual Controller based in the Philippines to support the financial operations of our growing multi-location dental organization.
This is not a basic bookkeeping role. This role is for someone who understands financials, takes ownership of accuracy, catches discrepancies, and can turn financial data into clear information that helps leadership make better business decisions.
QuickBooks experience is required. Dental experience is strongly preferred.
What You’ll Do:
You will support and oversee key accounting, financial reporting, and financial control functions across Pure Dental Spa and Chicago Dental Specialists, including:
Financial Reporting & Accounting:
Maintain and review financial records in QuickBooks.
Prepare and review monthly Profit & Loss Statements and Balance Sheets.
Ensure transactions are accurately categorized and recorded.
Perform and review bank and credit card reconciliations.
Monitor cash flow, expenses, revenue, and overall financial performance.
Review financial statements for discrepancies, unusual activity, or errors.
Help ensure books are accurate and closed on time each month.
Financial Analysis & Controls:
Compare actual financial performance against budgets, forecasts, and prior periods.
Identify financial trends, inconsistencies, and areas requiring leadership attention.
Investigate discrepancies and work with the appropriate team members to resolve them.
Maintain strong internal financial controls and organized accounting processes.
Review accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll-related accounting.
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
Help improve financial workflows, reporting processes, and controls as the organization grows.
Leadership & Business Support:
Prepare clear financial reports and summaries for the CEO and leadership team.
Help leadership understand financial performance across multiple offices.
Provide accurate financial information for business planning and decision-making.
Work closely with bookkeeping, payroll, leadership, and outside accounting partners.
Support financial projects, audits, tax preparation, and other accounting needs.
Take ownership of financial deadlines and follow through on outstanding items.
Who You Are:
Highly analytical and exceptionally detail-oriented.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial statements.
Experienced and confident using QuickBooks.
Comfortable reviewing P&Ls, Balance Sheets, cash flow, and reconciliations.
Strong with spreadsheets, formulas, and financial reporting.
Able to catch errors and investigate why numbers do not look right.
Proactive, resourceful, and comfortable taking ownership of financial processes.
Able to handle confidential financial and employee information professionally.
Strong written and verbal English communication.
Organized and comfortable managing multiple deadlines.
Able to explain financial information clearly to non-financial leaders.
Comfortable working independently in a fast-moving, growing organization.
Bonus Points If You Have:
Previous dental accounting or dental practice experience.
Experience working with a multi-location dental group or healthcare organization.
Previous experience as a Controller, Assistant Controller, Senior Accountant, or similar role.
Experience with dental practice management software or dental financial reporting.
Experience with budgeting, forecasting, payroll accounting, and KPI reporting.
Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills.
Experience supporting CEOs, founders, or executive leadership teams.
Work Schedule:
Remote — Philippines
Must be available to overlap with U.S. Central Time business hours.
Compensation:
$8 USD per hour
