JOB OVERVIEW

About the role: Dancy Hair Spa is a growing hair salon and beauty education brand. We're hiring a virtual assistant to run our daily community engagement, marketing content, and client-retention systems, so the owner can stay focused on clients and closing new business. This is a part-time role to start, with a clear path to full-time as responsibilities grow.
Core responsibilities:
• Daily community engagement: respond to comments and DMs across Instagram, Facebook, and other platforms in the brand's voice
• Cross-post and promote content to Pinterest and LinkedIn, especially around our hairstylist education community
• Promote our $30/month online membership community across platforms
• Promote virtual appointment services on Fiverr, Upwork, and similar marketplaces
• Draft a biweekly "mindful marketing" newsletter for owner review and approval before sending
• Build and maintain customer retention flows in Square (rebooking reminders, win-back sequences for lapsed clients, upsell/cross-sell prompts)
• Support the rollout of an education/affiliate program for other hairstylists as it's developed
What we're looking for:
• Strong written English for newsletters, captions, and community responses
• Experience with social media management and community engagement
• Comfortable learning Square (or similar CRM/booking/marketing tools)
• Reliable, self-directed, comfortable with async communication and clear reporting
• Beauty/salon industry familiarity is a plus but not required
Schedule: Starting at 20 hours/week, part-time, with room to grow to 40 hours/week full-time as the role expands
Pay: Starting at $5/hour (20 hrs/week part-time), increasing up to $10/hour at full-time (40 hrs/week) as responsibilities and hours grow. Rate reviewed as the role scales.
