JOB OVERVIEW

Job Title: Electrical Draftsman / CAD Technician
Location: Remote

About the Role
CMT Power is seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Electrical Draftsman to join our Technical Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing accurate electrical diagrams, schematics, and layout drawings in support of our power generation and electrical infrastructure projects.
This is a fully remote role and requires strong collaboration with engineers and technical leads based in the UK and internationally.

Key Responsibilities
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical or equivalent CAD software
• Minimum 2 years of experience in electrical drafting
• Solid understanding of electrical systems, components, and symbols
• Ability to interpret engineering sketches, technical specifications, and drawing standards
• Comfortable working in English (written and spoken)
• Highly organised with a strong attention to detail
• Ability to work independently while communicating effectively with remote teams

Skills & Experience
• Educational background in Electrical Engineering or Technical/Vocational certification
• Familiarity with international standards such as IEC, BS, IEEE, or NEC
• Experience working with companies in the power generation, utilities, or industrial sectors
