We create Instagram content (Reels) for our clients - female content creators - and we need a remote editor to produce Reels at volume, to exact briefs. This is process editing, not creative editing. If you want to be told precisely what to make and then make a lot of it perfectly, read on.
What the work is:
Most of it is recreating videos that already exist. We have a library of finished Reels for each client, and the job is to produce new iterations of them: you're shown the exact video to recreate, you're given the raw components - the clips, the caption, the audio - and a brief saying what to change, and you assemble it. You're not designing anything; you're rebuilding a video you can see in front of you, to spec, and then making the variations the brief asks for.
Every day you get a list. Each item is a specific video plus its brief: what to change, how to change it, what to name the result, and exactly where to file it in our Google Drive. You make the iterations in CapCut on your iPhone — recuts, caption changes, zooms, flips, filters, exports — and file them. Some videos need a skin-smoothing pass in Pretty Up; we tell you exactly which.
Each video takes minutes. There can be 100 or more in a day. All of them have to be made exactly as briefed and filed exactly where they belong. The work isn't difficult and it isn't creative. There's a lot of it, and it has to be right every time.
What we're hiring for, in order:
Attention to detail. Right video, right edit, right caption, right name, right folder - 100 times a day.
Following instructions to the letter. The brief says what to do. We don't want interpretation; we want execution.
Volume. You can sit down and get through a long list without quality dropping at the end of it.
Communication. If something's unclear or going to be late, you tell us before, not after.
You need:
An iPhone and real fluency in CapCut on it. Pretty-Up experience is a plus.
Reliable internet and a set-up you can screen-record on. We ask for screen recordings of work as standard.
English good enough to follow written briefs precisely.
To be comfortable working with content featuring female creators. Nothing explicit - it's all made for Instagram.
