JOB OVERVIEW

Senior Accountant — Financial Operations & Process Owner
Location: Philippines — Remote

Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday, aligned with New York business hours
Compensation: USD $1,600–$2,000 per month, based on demonstrated experience and capability
About the Company

Mr. Glazier Group is a growing US-based architectural glazing company operating in New York and Florida. We manage multiple business units, active installation projects, suppliers, field teams and customer accounts.

We are hiring a highly accountable Senior Accountant who can take ownership of our accounting processes—not simply wait for instructions or enter transactions.

What We Mean by Ownership
You will be expected to:
Own assigned financial processes from beginning to completion
Identify missing information and follow up without being reminded
Create deadlines, controls, checklists and reporting systems
Investigate discrepancies instead of passing them to someone else
Escalate risks early with facts and recommended solutions
Maintain accurate records without requiring constant supervision
Improve weak or inefficient processes
Deliver reports on time and explain what the numbers mean
This is not a passive bookkeeping position. We need someone who sees a problem, investigates it, communicates it and drives it to resolution.

Key Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day accounting in QuickBooks Online
Maintain accurate general ledger records
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
Complete bank, credit-card, loan and payment-processor reconciliations
Record accruals, prepayments, deposits, retainage and intercompany transactions
Support payroll reconciliation and expense allocation
Maintain project-level job costing and profitability
Prepare monthly P&L, balance sheet and cash-flow reports
Produce financial reporting by project and business unit
Maintain weekly AR aging and collection-priority reports
Assist with cash-flow forecasting and payment planning
Coordinate with management, operations, purchasing and external CPAs
Identify financial discrepancies, missing documentation and margin leakage
Document accounting workflows and create SOPs, checklists and controls
Improve the company’s accounting structure as it scales

Required Qualifications
At least 5 years of professional accounting experience
Advanced, hands-on expertise in QuickBooks Online
Strong understanding of US accounting principles
Demonstrated ownership of month-end closing and reconciliations
Strong experience with AP, AR, general ledger and financial reporting
Excellent Excel or Google Sheets skills
Strong written and spoken English
High accuracy and attention to detail
Ability to manage deadlines without repeated reminders
Ability to communicate problems clearly and propose solutions
Stable internet connection and professional remote-work environment
Willingness to work during New York business hours

Strong Advantages
CPA or equivalent accounting qualification
Experience supporting a US-based company
Construction, contracting or project-based accounting experience
Experience with job costing, work in progress and project profitability
Experience creating accounting systems, SOPs and internal controls
Experience integrating QuickBooks with CRM, payroll, payment or operational platforms
Experience building management dashboards and cash-flow forecasts
Experience cleaning up inaccurate or incomplete accounting records

Performance Expectations
Your performance will be measured by outcomes, including:
Month-end closing completed by the agreed deadline
All bank and credit-card accounts reconciled monthly
Accurate and current AP and AR records
Reliable weekly cash-flow and AR reporting
Accurate project and business-unit profitability
Timely identification and escalation of discrepancies
Reduction in uncategorized and unreconciled transactions
Documented accounting processes and functioning internal controls
Consistent execution without CEO follow-up

First 90 Days
The successful candidate will be expected to:
Audit the current QuickBooks structure and identify weaknesses
Reconcile all active financial accounts
Establish a reliable month-end close checklist
Organize AP, AR and financial-document workflows
Build weekly cash-flow and AR reporting
Implement project-level profitability reporting
Document critical accounting SOPs
Present recommendations for improving financial controls and reporting

Compensation and Growth
The starting compensation range is USD $1,600–$2,000 per month, based on experience and assessment results.
This position can grow into an Accounting Manager or Financial Controller role for someone who demonstrates strong ownership, accuracy, judgment and leadership.

Application Instructions
Please submit:
Your résumé
A short explanation of your QuickBooks Online experience
An example of an accounting process or system you personally created or improved
An example of a financial discrepancy you identified and resolved
Your expected monthly compensation in USD
Confirmation that you can work New York business hours

Please begin your application with the words “I OWN THE PROCESS” so we know you carefully reviewed the position.

Shortlisted candidates will complete a paid practical assessment involving QuickBooks, reconciliation, financial analysis and process improvement.
