Human Resources Manager
Job Type: Full-Time
Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM Central Time, with a 30-minute break
Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to oversee and coordinate the company's day-to-day HR function. Reporting to the Director of Property Management, this individual will work closely with company leadership and the payroll provider, Paychex, to support employee onboarding, HR administration, compliance, training, documentation, and employee relations. The ideal candidate will be comfortable independently managing the HR function, tracking workforce and demographic compliance requirements, and serving as a key point of contact for employees and management.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and coordinate employee onboarding and related documentation.
Work closely with Paychex on payroll and other HR-related matters.
Learn and become proficient in Paychex systems and workflows.
Coordinate required employee training, including compliance-related training, and track completion.
Facilitate updates to employee handbooks, policies, and procedures when laws or requirements change.
Work with leadership and Paychex to implement required policy and compliance updates.
Track employee demographic and other workforce compliance requirements.
Monitor minority and low-income employment metrics required under applicable client or program requirements.
Identify potential HR or compliance issues and escalate them to leadership as appropriate.
Serve as a point of contact for employee conflicts, concerns, and other HR-related issues, facilitating appropriate resolution or escalation.
Maintain accurate, organized, and confidential employee and HR records.
Serve as a key liaison between employees, management, and Paychex.
Provide day-to-day oversight and coordination of the company's HR function.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Previous Human Resources experience required.
Strong understanding of employee onboarding, documentation, training, employee relations, and HR administration.
Experience working with payroll and HR platforms; Paychex experience is preferred but not required.
Ability to learn and become proficient in Paychex systems and processes.
Ability to identify when HR, employee relations, or compliance issues require escalation.
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to handle sensitive employee information and HR matters with professionalism and discretion.
Comfortable independently managing day-to-day HR responsibilities while reporting to U.S.-based leadership.
