JOB OVERVIEW

Australian veterinary-care platform that connects vet nurses with pet owners and clinics. We have a native iOS app, a native Android app and a web app, all on one shared AWS backend, and we ship every week. We're looking for an iOS developer to work closely with our lead developer, own day-to-day iOS work, and keep the iOS app level with our web and Android apps.

What you'll do

Build and polish features in our SwiftUI app: bookings, calendar, messaging, pet records, visit notes, earnings
Bring features that already exist on web to iOS, matching our design system
Fix bugs reported by our users and nurses, reproduce them in the simulator, and verify the fix
Write unit tests (XCTest) and keep CI builds green
Help prepare TestFlight and App Store releases
Open clear, well-described pull requests and respond to code review

Must have

3+ years building production iOS apps, with at least 1 year in SwiftUI
Strong Swift skills, including async/await and Swift concurrency
Experience consuming GraphQL or REST APIs and handling auth tokens
Swift Package Manager, Git, feature branches and pull requests
At least one app you shipped to the App Store (please send the link)
Your own Mac that can run the current version of Xcode
Good written English. We work mostly async in GitHub and Jira.
At least 4 hours of overlap with Australian Eastern Time

Nice to have

AWS Amplify Swift SDK, Cognito, or AppSync subscriptions
Mapbox Maps SDK
XcodeGen
Push notifications (APNs), Sign in with Apple
Experience with AI coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor, etc.). We use them daily.
