What We Are Looking For
We do not want someone who simply records transactions.
We want an accountant who takes ownership.
If an invoice is approaching its due date, we expect you to know about it.
If an invoice is past due, we expect appropriate follow-up.
If a customer says an invoice cannot be processed because a PO number or supporting document is missing, we expect you to identify the issue and work internally to resolve it.
If an account does not reconcile, we expect you to investigate it rather than simply make a journal entry to force the numbers to balance.
You should be comfortable communicating directly with management, project managers, vendors, and customer accounting departments.
Work Schedule
Approximately 25–30 hours per week initially.
Most work can be completed during Philippine business hours, but regular overlap with U.S. Pacific Time will be required for communication with management, project teams, and customers.
There is an opportunity for this position to grow into a full-time role.
Compensation
$900 to start and depending on experience.
There will be an initial 60-day evaluation period.
We are looking for a long-term team member, and compensation can increase as responsibilities and performance grow.
Financial Controls
The accountant may prepare invoices, accounting entries, payment schedules, reports, and collection follow-ups.
However, management will retain final authority over:
Bank transfers
ACH payments
Wire transfers
Vendor payments
Payroll releases
Changes to bank accounts
Customer credits or write-offs
Changes to customer payment terms
