ABOUT US
Water Fun is a European e-commerce company (Hungary/Romania) selling bathroom products and interior building materials – shower cabins, shower panels, faucets, sanitary ceramics (WC pans, washbasins), glass products and related items. We import full containers directly from manufacturers, mainly from China (and partly India).

THE ROLE
We are hiring a senior, full-time, remote Procurement / Sourcing Specialist whose core job is finding and qualifying genuine manufacturers in China and getting complete, comparable quotations from them. This is a hands-on sourcing role, not an admin/VA role.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Identify genuine manufacturers (not trading companies) for defined product groups – currently brass faucets and sanitary ceramics – using 1688, Alibaba, Made-in-China, Global Sources, industry directories and direct outreach
- Verify factories: business licence, factory vs. trader, export experience to the EU, certifications (CE, REACH, WRAS/ACS where relevant), production capacity
- Send RFQs based on our technical specification, follow up on non-responders, clarify incomplete quotations
- Communicate with suppliers directly in Mandarin – by phone/voice call, WeChat (voice and text), WhatsApp, 1688 chat and e-mail
- Negotiate price, MOQ, Incoterms (EXW/FOB/CIF), payment terms (T/T, L/C), sample terms
- Coordinate samples and third-party inspections (QIMA/SGS/TÜV) when we move to order
- Maintain a supplier/RFQ log and a quotation comparison sheet in Google Drive (all originals attached)
- Send a short written report at the end of every working day (what was done, who replied, blockers, plan for tomorrow)

MUST-HAVE REQUIREMENTS
- CHINESE LANGUAGE (MANDATORY): you must be able to communicate with Chinese suppliers in Mandarin both SPOKEN and written – phone/voice calls, WeChat voice and text, 1688 chat, e-mail. Please state your spoken and written Mandarin level (and how you acquired it) in your application. Applications without spoken Mandarin will not be considered; we will verify it in a short voice call before the trial.
- 5+ years hands-on China sourcing / procurement experience, working directly with factories
- Daily user of 1688 and Alibaba; familiar with Made-in-China and Global Sources
- Solid understanding of Incoterms, T/T & L/C payment terms, MOQ negotiation
- Basic knowledge of EU import compliance (CE, REACH, labelling)
- Confident with Excel/Google Sheets for quotation comparisons
- Fluent written English (all reporting is in English)

NICE TO HAVE
- Experience with bathroom products, sanitary ware, faucets, glass, tiles or building materials
- Experience with sea/rail container logistics from China to Europe
- Some India sourcing experience (IndiaMART)

WORKING HOURS
Full-time, ~8 hours/day, Monday–Friday. The schedule is flexible: you can structure most of your day around China business hours (we prefer that), but you must be reachable by e-mail for at least 2–3 hours during 9:00–17:00 CET and deliver the daily written report.

2. Paid trial: 2 weeks (10 working days), full-time, fixed fee – you receive a written brief, a Water Fun e-mail address and shared Drive access on day 1. Clear daily expectations are agreed in writing before you start. No orders, payments or commitments to suppliers during the trial.
3. If both sides are happy → long-term full-time engagement, paid weekly via Wise/PayPal.
