Turn physical products into products people understand, remember, and want to buy.
We’re looking for a Brand Manager – Consumer Products who can take a new physical product from product development through to a complete retail-ready launch.
This is a hands-on product marketing role for someone who understands how to translate product specifications into clear positioning, compelling selling points, and practical marketing materials across retail and e-commerce.
You’ll work closely with product development, sales, design, and factory teams to gather product information, understand what makes each product valuable, and turn that information into a strong commercial story.
What you’ll do:
- Develop product names, titles, positioning, and messaging
- Research competitive products and identify opportunities to differentiate our products
- Develop key selling points and feature/benefit statements
- Translate technical product information into clear consumer-facing messaging
- Develop product descriptions, retailer bullets, and e-commerce content
- Conduct keyword research and develop SEO-friendly product content
- Develop Amazon and e-commerce listing content, including titles, bullets, descriptions, keywords, and A+ content direction
- Organize technical product specifications including dimensions, materials, capacity, wattage, accessories, certifications, and warranty information
- Create and maintain product specification sheets
- Build a complete Product Launch Packet for every new SKU
- Determine the product imagery needed for launch, including hero images, feature callouts, detail images, dimensions, lifestyle images, comparison images, and infographic concepts
- Provide copy and creative direction for product images and infographics
- Prepare product information for retailer item setup
- Work with graphic designers to turn product messaging into polished sell sheets and launch materials
- Ensure product information stays accurate and consistent across packaging, retailer websites, presentations, catalogs, spec sheets, and e-commerce listings
For every new product, you’ll help build a complete launch package that can include:
- Product name and SKU
- Product title
- Short and long product descriptions
- Key features and consumer benefits
- Key selling points
- Competitive advantages
- Technical specifications
- Dimensions and weight
- What’s included
- Retail and e-commerce bullet points
- SEO/search keywords
- Amazon listing copy
- Product image shot lists
- Infographic copy
- Lifestyle image direction
- Product specification sheets
- Retailer sell sheet content
- Packaging copy
- FAQs and important product information
What we’re looking for:
- Experience in consumer products, retail, product marketing, brand marketing, or a related field
- Strong understanding of how physical products are positioned and marketed
- Excellent written communication and the ability to turn product information into compelling messaging
- Experience with product launches, retail, e-commerce, or marketplace content
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work across product development, sales, design, and other teams
- Comfortable working with technical product specifications and turning them into consumer-friendly content
- Experience with Amazon, Walmart, Target, Costco, BJ’s, Sam’s Club, Home Depot, Best Buy, Macy’s, or other major retailers is highly valuable
- Experience with small appliances, housewares, electronics, home products, or other retail consumer goods is especially relevant
Important:
This is not primarily a social media marketing role.
We’re looking for someone who understands how to market and launch physical consumer products — from product positioning and specifications to retail content, packaging, e-commerce listings, and launch materials.
If you enjoy taking a product from “here’s what it does” to “here’s why someone should buy it,” we’d love to hear from you.
