JOB OVERVIEW

I’m Matt, owner of Borderland Real Estate Media in Brisbane. I shoot the listings on site myself, and you’ll work directly with me. We deliver all of our media to a high standard. Primary photo editing already goes out to an editor. I need one dedicated person to finish each job to my spec so it can go to the agent the same morning.

This is a real editing job — a finisher / production assistant role, not a full editor replacing my primary editor, and not a VA role. The pace is reasonably quick: each morning you’ll QC and finish jobs that were shot the day before, and they need to be delivered that morning before your shift ends. I won’t overload you, but the work does need to move. The business is young and growing (~12–16 listings/month and climbing). Some mornings the queue will be light. You still get paid for the shift. I’ll let you know the night before, and you can use that time for yourself. As volume comes on, those empty mornings will disappear. I want someone who’s on board with work being up and down initially, until we fully grow your role into its capacity.

The shift:
Tuesday to Saturday, 4 hours in the morning (Philippine time). Sunday and Monday off.
You'll be paid for the shift even if the queue is light - this isn't a gig role.
Pay: $6–8 USD per hour, depending on skill and speed after a paid trial.
We work in Adobe. You need to be solid in Photoshop and Lightroom, and familiar with Illustrator. Company Adobe login provided — you need your own machine that runs them properly.

A normal listing:
QC about 30 photos back from the primary editor. Use your eye: lawn replacement on a few exteriors, small clutter (cords, a personal photo on a fridge), colour/exposure tweaks, colour temperature fixes, and on twilight shoots fixing the colour of lights in windows so it looks right.
Drone pins on 3-4 aerials + a property boundary with provided measurements.
Floor plans and Site Plans: CubiCasa gives a clean black-and-white SVG with measurements. You put it on brand in Illustrator — fonts, floor textures, beds/baths, land size, totals. Not architecture. Don’t skip applying just because you haven’t done loads of floor plans — if you’re familiar with Illustrator, I’ll give you SOPs and videos for exactly how I want them done - they are very process based. Site Plans are usually drawn in illustrator from a top-down drone photo.
One listing through to delivery is a normal morning. When we’re busy, two in a shift is the standard I want you to grow into. Your creative eye and attention to detail are appreciated, and I still have clear delivery standards that have to be met. You’ll get SOPs plus examples of what’s good and what’s not. Follow those, then use your eye. I do not want to QC your QC.

Must have:
Strong real estate photo editing in Photoshop and Lightroom (before/after portfolio required — I’d love to see examples of your work)
Familiarity with Adobe Illustrator (floor-plan experience is a bonus, not a blocker — training provided)
Reliable English, overlap with Brisbane mornings
You actually notice when grass looks fake, a pin is wrong, or a twilight window light looks off

Nice to have (bonus, not essential):
The more photo editing skill you bring, the better. Virtual staging, editing from scratch, or other finishing work is a real bonus for the odd job where it helps — but the primary role is QC, drone pins/boundaries, and branded floor plans.
