JOB OVERVIEW

Supporting the EMEA sales team, the Renewals Specialist owns a defined book of existing customers and is responsible for securing on-time contract renewals, protecting recurring revenue and converting single-year SaaS agreements into multi-year commitments.

This is not a cold calling role.

Every conversation is with an existing customer who already uses the platform.

The focus is proactive, well-timed engagement ahead of contract expiry: understanding how the customer is using the solution, reinforcing the value they are already receiving, resolving anything standing in the way of renewal, and positioning the commercial structure — multi-year terms, expanded entitlements, new capabilities — that best fits their next term.

The role also covers the sales and administrative process attached to renewals and in-term changes, including adds, program changes, cloud migrations and true-ups.

• EXCELLENT written and verbal ENGLISH communication is REQUIRED
• APPLE MacBook LAPTOP REQUIRED (MANDATORY REQUIREMENT).

Key Responsibilities:

• Own and achieve renewal revenue and billings targets across the UK region through disciplined, structured engagement of the assigned customer book.
• Manage the full renewal cycle end to end — from early pre-expiry outreach through commercial negotiation to signed agreement — ensuring no contract reaches expiry unworked.
• Drive multi-year billing commitments as a key measure of customer confidence and commercial success, positioning the value case for longer terms rather than defaulting to like-for-like annual renewals.
• Proactively engage customers well ahead of contract expiry via phone, email and LinkedIn, working a structured renewal cadence based on expiry date, account value and risk profile.
• Conduct value and usage conversations to understand how the customer is deploying the solution, what has changed in their business, and what they need from the next term before positioning commercial options.
• Identify renewal risk early — low adoption, unresolved support issues, sponsor change, budget pressure — and coordinate the internal response required to secure the renewal.
• Identify cross-sell, upsell and expansion opportunities within the renewal conversation to maximise customer lifetime value, collaborating with Account Management to advance larger opportunities.
• Champion adoption of new platform capabilities, features and technologies as part of the renewal and expansion narrative.
• Maintain accurate pipeline management, renewal forecast visibility and close-date discipline in Salesforce.
• Manage the sales and administrative process attached to renewals and in-term changes, including adds, program changes, cloud migrations and true-ups.
• Build and maintain productive relationships with channel partners and resellers where they hold or influence the customer relationship, coordinating renewal activity through the partner where appropriate.
• Act as a trusted commercial contact for the customer, coordinating engagement with internal specialists, Customer Success and accredited partners.
• Actively contribute to customer success initiatives that increase adoption, engagement and long-term value.
• Collaborate closely with Customer Success, Marketing, Product and Partner teams to protect and grow the installed base.
• Test and refine renewal messaging, outreach sequences and cadences to improve on-time renewal and multi-year conversion rates.
• Proactively collect account intelligence during every customer interaction by asking targeted questions to uncover insights around account structure, decision-makers, use cases and growth potential. Ensure all relevant information is accurately captured and maintained in SFDC to support broader account planning and strategy.
• Provide feedback to sales and customer success leadership on renewal trends, churn drivers and market insights.

KPI's:
• On-Time Renewal Rate: Secure renewal of the assigned contract base in line with the agreed target.
• Allocated Task Completion: Complete 100% of allocated daily tasks.
• Pipeline Hygiene: No contract enters its final 30 days without documented customer contact.

Experience Required:
• EXCELLENT written and verbal ENGLISH communication.
• Apple MacBook laptop required (MANDATORY REQUIREMENT).
• Essential: 2+ years in a quota-carrying SaaS/software sales role with direct renewals, account management, inside sales or customer expansion responsibility.
• Experience working with channel partners or reseller ecosystems.
• Demonstrated success meeting or exceeding renewal, retention or quota targets within an existing customer base.
• Experience selling and negotiating multi-year subscription or licensing agreements.
• Experience using Salesforce for pipeline management, renewal forecasting and account record keeping.
• Experience engaging business decision-makers across multiple industries.
• Strong organisational, pipeline management and forecasting discipline across a high volume of concurrent contracts.
• Ability to work independently and manage a renewal book aligned to UK business hours.
