JOB OVERVIEW

ABOUT THE ROLE
We are an Australian medical imaging business looking for an experienced, reliable bookkeeper based in the Philippines. You will keep our books accurate and up to date, follow through on outstanding items, and give management a clear picture of cash flow and financial performance.

This is a full-time, remote opportunity: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with overlap during Melbourne business hours. Exact working hours will be agreed with the successful applicant.

PAY
PHP 50,000-65,000 per month, depending on relevant Australian bookkeeping experience and capability.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Record and correctly categorise transactions; reconcile bank accounts, credit cards and payment settlements.
- Manage accounts payable: check supplier invoices, identify duplicates, reconcile supplier statements and prepare payment schedules for approval.
- Manage accounts receivable: allocate receipts, reconcile invoices and credits, maintain an accurate aged debtors report and follow up overdue accounts professionally.
- Reconcile revenue and billing-system reports with accounting records, investigate discrepancies and coordinate with the administration team to resolve them.
- Support payroll preparation, timesheet checks and payroll reconciliations, with management review and approval.
- Complete month-end reconciliations and prepare profit and loss, balance sheet, cash-flow and outstanding receivables/payables summaries.
- Prepare supporting schedules and records for GST/BAS and year-end work, working with our Australian accountant and escalating uncertain treatment for review.
- Keep supporting documents organised, maintain a clear audit trail and improve recurring bookkeeping checklists and processes.
- Handle confidential business and patient-related billing information carefully, using approved systems and access controls.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- At least 3 years of hands-on bookkeeping experience, including at least 1 year supporting Australian businesses.
- Ability to manage the bookkeeping cycle, investigate discrepancies and finish reconciliations independently.
- Strong cloud accounting software skills. Xero experience is preferred; please also tell us about any MYOB or QuickBooks experience.
- Practical knowledge of Australian GST coding, BAS preparation support and payroll processes.
- Confident Excel or Google Sheets skills, including lookups, pivot tables and reconciling data from different systems.
- Clear written and spoken English, good judgement, attention to detail and dependable follow-through.
- Reliable computer and internet, a private workspace, and availability for 40 hours per week.

HELPFUL, BUT NOT ESSENTIAL
Experience with medical practices, diagnostic imaging, healthcare billing, Medicare or insurer remittances; working across multiple locations or entities; and relevant bookkeeping/accounting qualifications or Xero certification.
